First prize winner of the Départements (counties) in bloom in 1997, Côtes d'Armor offers thousands of seasonal fragrances which will totally enchant you. Any opportunity of exploring the “gardening sideî of Côtes d'Armor (parks in bloom, flower festivals, etc.) is an enjoyable one.
Wednesday, I tasted the flavours of the lands and sea.
With the sea flavour of freshly fished scallops, spider crabs that have just left their tanks, silver scaled sea bass, and the smoky flavour of traditional pork meats, not to mention golden buckwheat galettes (savoury pancakes), crêpes (sweet pancakes) that melt in the mouth, and Coco de Paimpol haricot beans, our heart is a flutter and our taste buds tantalized.
Thursday, I listened to music, stories and the wind
I heard that the goblins, elves and other fairy folk populate the lakes, rivers and footpaths. Listen hard and perhaps you will also hear this life swarming at your feet. You are not sure? Come closer. Can you hear them? Those are sprites. Unless it's a melody; some traditional or contemporary music inviting you to dance.
