© M. Desaunay/CDT Manche
La Manche is the most western part of Normandy. With more than 4500 Km of marked paths, 2 Regional Nature Park, 5 nature reserves and 4000 hectares of land acquired as sensitive natural areas, La Manche is rich with a many-faceted preserved nature.

From the Bay of Mont Saint-Michel to the Bay of Veys, its 355 km of coastline create a vastly diverse maritime landscape, where capes, cliffs and long sandy beaches offer plenty of leisure activities. Inland, this peninsula is made of hills and valleys where rivers meander through the bocage and provide ample ground for rambling and outdoor activitie. At the heart of the bocage, you will discover a rich Norman architectural heritage whilst enjoying local produce at a market town or seafood in one of the many fishing ports.

La Manche has also many places to visit for family or friends, looking to enjoy themselves and find out about its rich cultural heritage that streches from the great constructions of the Medieval period such as the Mont Saint-Michel abbey, to the D-Day Landings of the Second World War.

On foot, on bicycle, on mountain bikes, on horseback, in canoes-kayaks, sand-yachting or surfing, or fishing or climbing, all the assets of the Manche are open to you, allowing you to practice your favourite activity at your own rhythm.
