## Nearby

Not far from Bergerac and Villeneuve-sur-Lot, the Cœur de Bastides region is 2 hours from the major cities of Bordeaux and Toulouse, between the Lot and the Dordogne.

\- Discover 2 of France's most beautiful villages: Monflanquin and Villeréal. Let yourself be carried away by the atmosphere of these authentic bastides: historic houses, carrerots, typical churches and market halls...

\- Cancon, with its pretty flower-lined streets and its view over the orchards... In fact, this is the French hazelnut capital: 98% of the national production is processed by the Unicoque cooperative.

\- Castillonnès, a 13th-century fortified town with a shared history between the French and English.

\- Château de Gavaudun, a proud sentinel plunging you back into the age of the knights.

\- If you want to combine discovery and sport, think about walking and horse- or donkey-riding: we have 60 footpaths to choose from!

\- For a refreshing swim, there's nothing like the lake at Lougratte.

\- Take advantage of the 4 Terra Aventura trails to discover Cancon (hazelnut theme), Gavaudun (history theme), Monflanquin (stories and history theme) and Villeréal (horse theme) in a fun and interactive way!

\- Taste the local specialities: on the hazelnut side, you'll love the croquants, caramelised hazelnuts, spreads... But the South-West also means duck! Whether at the market or on the farm, producers offer you all sorts of products: foie gras, duck breast, manchons, confits... And finally, the Agen Prune is famous the world over, but did you know that it comes largely from our region? Many local producers still grow plums in the Cœur de Bastides region!

Here, we like to party, have fun and live life to the full!
