From Bordeaux : Allow around 1h15 to 1h30 by car. Take the ring road towards Le Verdon / Mérignac and then the D1215 towards the Médoc. Pass through Lesparre-Médoc before reaching Saint-Germain-d'Esteuil. The route passes through the famous Médoc vineyards and a number of renowned wine châteaux. From the Dordogne : From Bergerac, allow around 2h15 to 2h30. From Périgueux, allow around 2 hours 45 minutes. Take the motorway to Bordeaux, then continue towards the Médoc on the D1215.
