Situation

The hamlet of Mappaz is located at an altitude of 1,300m, the height of the 1st mountain pastures towards Lake St Guérin

In winter, thaw barrier behind the chalet. It is best

to provide good equipment to climb safely

- The village of Arêches is very lively and

family-friendly.

Many cafes (Chez Dédé has just re-opened, a unique and unmissable place), restaurants, sports shops, bakery

(Les Croës offers excellent breads and pastries), 2 well-stocked Proxi

and Vival grocery stores and… the Cooperative Dairy Beaufortain for local

products. The church of Arêches is worth the detour.
