Right in the center of Laroquebrou, the town has transformed an old bakery into a group accommodation. If you are looking for a large capacity furnished apartment to organize a sporting, friendly or family gathering, this cottage for 13 people is made for you!

Between Cantal, Corrèze and Lot, Laroquebrou, classified as a Small City of Character®, stretches along the Cère river. Its location, at the crossroads of Auvergne, Limousin and Quercy, allows you to reach many tourist sites.

A former bakery that has become a group accommodation

This group accommodation occupies a village house of 180 m², the 3 levels of which have been completely renovated. Combining comfort and practicality, it has generous volumes. It has 2 entrances, one giving access to the ground floor, the other to the 1st floor.

The red brick bread oven, installed in the old bakery, testifies to the past of the building. You can admire this beautiful piece of heritage by crossing the threshold on the ground floor. At this level, you will have a closed room, equipped with sockets to recharge electric bikes.


A beautiful wooden staircase serves the 3 floors of the house. The dining room, spacious and bright, is furnished with two large tables, ideal for bringing everyone together for a meal. A connected television has found a place in a corner of the living room. Dishwasher, oven, washing machine, dryer… in the kitchen, you will find all the equipment necessary for your comfort.

Laroquebrou, an ancient medieval city, was a center of pottery, tannery and shoemaking. The rooms bear names evoking this rich past.

On the second floor, 3 bedrooms and 1 collective bathroom have been fitted out.
The Les Sabotiers room, with a double bed, can accommodate 2 people. The dormitory room Les Tanneurs is equipped with 2 bunk beds, i.e. 4 beds. The Les Potiers room, with its double bed and its bunk bed, is designed for 4 people.

The large bathroom, with its 3 sinks and 2 walk-in showers is arranged for collective use. Doors, installed at the level of the shower cubicles, preserve privacy.

The shoemakers suite occupies the entire third floor. It consists of a lounge area, a bathroom with walk-in shower and a bedroom with 3 single beds (1 bed and 1 bunk bed).

In each of the 4 bedrooms of the gîte, lockers with padlocks are available to you.

If you are on an itinerant hike, on foot or by bike, this gîte has all the assets to offer you a pleasant stopover. Subject to availability, you can rent a room “at the last minute”, with shared common areas, by contacting the owner directly.

A nature, culture & heritage stay between Cantal, Corrèze and Lot

The Small City of Character® of Laroquebrou is 24 km from Aurillac. Its geographical location, the departments of Lot and Corrèze are very close, will allow you to discover a multitude of landscapes and atmospheres. It is so much to enjoy the sweetness of life of the Chestnut grove of Cantal!

The “de Montal” castle and its promontory, the Virgin of Our Lady of the Rock, the Maison de la Trémolière, the 13th century Bridge over the Cère, the Gothic church,
half-timbered houses... The old town of Laroquebrou offers visitors a rich historical heritage.

The nocturnal visit, by lantern light, offered by the Tourist Office in summer, is a great experience that will appeal to young and old alike.

Laroquebrou remains an important passageway for pilgrims going to Santiago de Compostela. It is also one of the stages of the Via Averna, a path linking Clermont-Ferrand to Rocamadour.

The 4 castles walk (la Barthe, Messac, Nèpes and Laroquebrou), a 1.5 km loop, offers a beautiful view of the village and the Cère valley.

Are you a heritage enthusiast? Take the direction of Pleaux, 28 km away or Marcolès, 38 km away, charming villages classified as Small Towns of Character®. A little further, 55 km away, you will fall under the charm of the medieval city of Salers, one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France®.

You can, for this, cross the hiking trails. La Châtaigneraie can also be explored along the paths by mountain bike, or on the roads by bike. Here again, beautiful walks await you.

More experienced hikers will explore the steep slopes and ridges of the Cantal mountains. In the heart of the Regional Park of the Volcanoes of Auvergne, you will walk in peace in the heart of unspoiled nature to meet the Plomb du Cantal, Puy Mary, Puy Griou...

Another idea for a visit? The Gouffre de Padirac, 50 km from Laroquebrou, in the Lot department. In the heart of the Dordogne Valley, the chasm is the first underground natural heritage site in Europe. Ready for a trip to the center of the Earth?

You can then continue your way to Rocamadour, one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France®, about fifteen kilometers away. Rocamadour, vertical and majestic, unfolds in several floors on the side of the cliff, impressive! It is a stopover village on the way to Saint Jacques de Compostela and a major place of pilgrimage classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
