Upon your arrival, the owners will be delighted to share the history of this neighborhood, originally initiated by "Abbé Brossollette" in 1951. The house with its garden is situated in a cul-de-sac, very peaceful and ideal for dining and relaxing after enjoying the numerous attractions of Poitiers and the Vienne region. The Futuroscope is directly accessible, a 14-minute drive or a 35-minute bus ride (please pay attention to the schedule). The '50s cottage features on the ground floor a large kitchen open to the living room, a seating area with television, a firm sofa bed in the living room for 2 people, and a toilet at the entrance. Upstairs, there are 3 charming, colorful bedrooms for 6 people, each with a 140x190 bed. The vintage bathroom includes a shower, 2 sinks, and a toilet. The basement is equipped for laundry + 1 reading room and children's games area. The total covered area is 115 m², including 35 m² of basement. The outdoor space covers 250 m² all around the house with no overlooking neighbors. You can enjoy pleasant moments of relaxation on the sun loungers in the garden or under the ivy-covered arbor. Depending on the season, you can also enjoy cherries, plums, pears, grapes, directly from the fruit trees or during an evening with Véronique and Didier. The city center of Poitiers is 10 minutes away by bus, with a stop at the end of the street, 170m away. The cottage offers 4 possible free parking spots (1 garage + 1 space on the property + 2 spaces on the sidewalk in front of the gate). Being a "LPO Refuge" since late 2014, you will often be accompanied in the mornings by the singing of birds under the old ivy arbor. The accommodation was labeled "Tourism and Disability" in October 2023 (mental + auditory) with the recognition of having been awarded the Top Tourism 2016 by La Nouvelle République. It obtained the European Ecolabel for Tourism in 2016 and the Quality Label Vienne. Basic bedding includes duvets and pillows, but "complete bedding" options are available with sheets at 10 euros per bed and "towels" at 12 euros per person. These services are to be paid upon arrival, along with the tourist tax and the deposit check of 800 euros. Their special health and anti-virus process make this place truly unique. In addition to low VOC paints, antique waxed parquet floors instead of varnished ones, maximum wood and metal instead of plastics, they now include a "Hygiene+" contribution in their base rate, both for internal disinfection and for the quality of bed washing. They strictly adhere to sanitary measures for all bedding, ventilation, and cleaning of the house, including the use of a laundry service with a special process. To ensure an optimal indoor air quality experience, CO2 detectors are also installed in each room. A mobile AeraMax Pro2 air purifier with charcoal and HEPA 13 filters can reduce atmospheric pollutants, allergens, and odors upon request in the dining room, living room, and kitchen. The final cleaning at the end of the stay is always the responsibility of the guests, otherwise, it is charged at 100 euros.
