About this Holiday rental

Located on the heights of the village of L'Argentière-La-Bessée, at 1000 meters high, near a remarkable church and in a quiet area, the house is surrounded by a garden of 1500m2, crossed by a small irrigation canal. Not overlooked. Montains view.   

Leaning against the main part, is a duplex accessible by a terrace of 20m2.

You may go from the house to the apartment and vice versa through the front of the house on the ground floor.

The rental of the set allows the stay of 8 to 10 people.

Both the house (6 people) and the duplex (4 people) can be rented independently of each other.



The house is composed as follows:


  • dowstairs: entrance and storage area for mountain equipment, bikes...

  • garden level: living room with bay windows, direct access to the terrace and garden (garden furniture, deck chairs, electric barbecue). Fully equipped kitchen (coffee maker, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher). Independent toilet.

  • upstairs: bathroom (washing machine laundry), independent toilet, 3 bedrooms. The glass walls are fitted with blackout curtains. In one bedroom, there is a 160cm wide bed. In the second a trundle bed that turns into two 90cm wide beds (on feet). In the third: a sofa bed whose armrests may be removed to make a 90cm wide bed and opened to make a 180cm wide bed.

    IGN hiking maps and climbing topos available as well as a crashpad.
    Sheets provided but no towels.

    The staircase doesn't have any railing and can be dangerous for young children or people with balance problems.


Optional end-of-stay cleaning.


One week minimum stay. Because of additional hygiene measures linked to covid19 we will let one full day between each stay. This is why arrivals and departures will not necessarily be a Saturday this year but any day of the week.

Price: 140 € / day.

Tourist tax in addition.


The independent duplex includes:


  • ground floor: living room (double sofa bed 140cm wide) and fitted kitchen (fridge-freezer, induction hob, oven but no dishwasher), storage room, shower room-wc (washing machine laundry)

  • upstairs: one bedroom (double bed 140cm wide)


It opens onto a 20m2 terrace (garden furniture, deckchairs, electric barbecue) and has a storage shed for bikes, etc.

Free WiFi.

Sheets provided but not towels.

L'Argentière-la-Bessée is one of the gateways to the Ecrins National Park and the Vallouise Valley. The emblematic valleys of Queyras and Clarée are very close.

The village takes its name from the silver mines that were exploited from the tenth century. Listed as a historical monument, they are now visited and are even part of a popular escape game.

It is a paradise of outdoor activities: hiking, mountain biking, climbing cliffs, via ferrata, mountaineering, paragliding, kayaking, rafting...

This mountain village enjoys a very sunny climate, clean air and nights that stay cool in summer.


In short, from the house:

15 minutes walk: all shops, all services, railway station, cinema, swiming-pool, Durance river (kayaking, rafting, fishing), a small via ferrata and a climbing cliff.

Above the house, the Fournel Valley, starting point for hiking or mountain biking, climbing and canyoning, silver mines and escape game, biological reserve of blue thistles.

5 km away, zip line, via ferrata of the gorges de la Durance, La Roche de Rame lake (swimming).

12 km away, the aerodrome of St-Crépin where to practice gliding.

15km, the citadel of Mont-Dauphin and the fortified city of Briançon listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

18km, Ailefroide is the gateway to the gorgeous glaciers of the Ecrins massif, climbing, mountaineering.

30 km away, the thermal baths of Monêtier

35km Serre-Ponçon lake where to practice sailing, kite surfing etc ...

40km, the great alpine passes (Lautaret, Izoard)
