Description
You'll fall under the spell of the 3 large gîtes at Bastide Saint Martin, which have been awarded 4 stars by the Prefecture and 4 "clésvacances" (holiday keys). This is an old 18th-century Ardèche house, built in a hamlet near Vallon Pont d'Arc in the Ardèche, and recently restored with a harmonious blend of traditional materials: old stone, wood and metal. You'll be seduced by the sober rusticity of the exposed stonework, the diffused warmth of the traditional lime plaster and the simplicity of the antique regional furniture. Each independent gîte of 100 m2, for 5 people, has its own 3 single or double bedrooms upstairs, 1 double shower room (2 washbasins and 2 separate Italian showers), a separate toilet, an open-plan kitchen and a living room. A shared laundry room with 2 washing machines and 2 tumble dryers, tancarvilles, irons and ironing boards. La Bastide Saint Martin has created an unusual living space for its guests, with a heated pool-bath, set in an intimate patio covered by a glass roof, like a riad in the Ardèche, beautiful vaulted stone rooms arranged around the pool, and a small enclosed courtyard of 35m2 furnished with a few low armchairs and chiliennes, and a communal barbecue. A compulsory cleaning charge of €80/gîte is payable on arrival. Recommended by the Comité Départemental du Tourisme de l'Ardèche with the "Séjour de Charme" label. OPPORTUNITY TO PRIVATIZE LA BASTIDE (weekends, short breaks, weeks outside summer) : 15 people, 9 single or double bedrooms, 4 shower rooms, 2 rooms for group meals, covered swimming pool heated all year round between 28° and 32°, etc...
