In Haute-Normandie, there are plenty of tasty dairy products on restaurant menus. Pont-l'évêque and Livarot are just two of them! Culinary discovery doesn't necessarily mean calories for you? Then succumb to Flamiche with leeks or other exquisite recipes like Sole normande, particularly popular in the Pays d'Auge.

If you don't care about your figure, head for Marmite dieppoise, Andouillette d'Alençon and Teurgoule, a tasty dessert frequently found on Norman plates. At snack time, you can also enjoy a Fallue soaked in cider or a slice of Norman Gâche. As for drinks, you're free to opt for a glass of Poiré or Pommeau, which go perfectly with some shortbread from Caen, on your return from a sporting activity. Normandy: its departments and must-see sites

Calvados is not the most popular department in the north west, yet it has many charms that fill visitors with wonder. Sites such as Omaha Beach and the American cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer bear witness to the D-Day landings and our country's last great war. Another place, another atmosphere in Hermival-les-Vaux where the Cerza Zoological Park is located, an establishment that makes children dream thanks to all its boarders.

As a family, you can plan fun evenings at the Val-de-Haye go-karting centre, the Evolution Laser Game in Rouen or take a trip to the Roseraie in Grand-Quevilly.
