To get to Rivedoux-Plage by car on the Île de Ré, it’s easy: simply head to La Rochelle, then follow the signs for the Île de Ré and cross the bridge. Recommended route - From La Rochelle: follow the signs for ‘Île de Ré’ and ‘Pont de l’Île de Ré’. - From the A10 motorway, Paris, Niort or Bordeaux: head to La Rochelle via the routes indicated, then follow the signs for the Île de Ré. - After the bridge: you’ll arrive directly at Rivedoux-Plage, the island’s first village. The bridge is approximately 2.9 km long. From the centre of La Rochelle, the journey usually takes 15 to 25 minutes in light traffic, depending on your starting point and exact destination. Practical information - A toll is charged on the outward journey only for motor vehicles. The fare depends on the season and the category of vehicle. - In July and August, allow extra time, particularly on Saturdays when people are arriving and departing. - Before setting off, check the real-time traffic conditions on the Île de Ré bridge
