The advantages of the accommodation
Description
Favorite destination for hikers, the hamlet of Récusset is part of the municipality of Saint-Paul-de-Salers. It is there, at an altitude of 1,100 meters, in the heart of a wide valley carved out by glaciers, that Le Relais des Volcans is nestled. The Relais des Volcans is made up of a set of 10 independent chalets and an inn. Facing the Puy Violent, one of the Cantal mountains, this exceptional site invites contemplation. Authentic holidays in a preserved natural area, are you tempted? Gîte, between Salers and Puy Mary, with a breathtaking view of the ancient Cantal volcano The Relais des Volcans chalets are independent and can accommodate 5 people. Each rental consists of a living room with a kitchenette, a bathroom and two bedrooms. The two bedrooms (one with a double bed and the other on the mezzanine with three single beds) are ideal for a couple with children. If you are traveling with a small child, a baby kit is available on request. You will have free wifi access, as well as a washing machine and a dryer for collective use. In fine weather, you will appreciate the calm and the view of the valley from your private terrace. You can come on vacation with your pet. Le Relais des Volcans welcomes you for a night, a weekend, a week or for a longer stay. You can rent the 10 lodgings to organize a business seminar or a sports gathering. During your stay, you can have lunch or dinner at the Relais des Volcans inn. The opportunity to set foot under the table and taste Auvergne specialties (truffade, patranque, pounti, etc.) while contemplating the Puy Violent! Hikes for all levels from your gîte During your stay in Récusset, you will evolve in the heart of a Sensitive Natural Area. Flora, fauna, geology, typical volcanic scenery, valley carved out by glaciers, you will have the chance to observe an exceptional natural heritage. The ecological riches of the site are preserved and enhanced for the pleasure of young and old. Two interpretation trails, of a moderate level, are laid out for family outings. “Le Sentier du Petit Pâtre” (4.5 km) deals with the theme of pastoralism and illustrates the life of the buronniers of yesteryear. The silhouettes of herdsmen line the route. “On the slopes of the dancing meadow” (5 km) guides you in discovering the biodiversity of the Récusset circus. Five photographic black boxes punctuate the trail. Good level walkers will reach the summit of Puy Violent at an altitude of 1594 m. From Récusset, count +/- 5 hours for the round trip (change in altitude of 550 m) for this hike. The ascent of this small pyramidal cone offers a magnificent panorama of the Roc Labro, the Puy Mary, the Roc des Ombres and, in clear weather, the Sancy massif. More seasoned hikers will continue their journey, in the heart of the largest volcano in Europe, following the emblematic GR®400. Experiences to enjoy with family or friends If you are looking for a fun and sporty activity, head to the Onirika Leisure Park in Falgoux. Tree climbing, arbonets, explor'games, educational trail or even mountain bike rental: whether you want to take to the skies or stay down to earth, there is bound to be an activity for you. From the Barrouze esplanade, you will appreciate the magnificent view of the Maronne, Rat and Aspre valleys. And of course, you won't be able to resist the temptation of the gourmet pleasures of the city. In Tournemire, in the green valley of the Doire, the imposing Château d'Anjony welcomes you. Built in the 15th century, it is made up of four towers enclosing a square keep. During the visit, you will learn that the house has always been inhabited by the same family since the beginning!
