On the heights of Valojoulx, a typical Périgord Noir village in the Montignac-Lascaux district, you'll find Villa Le Logis on the edge of the forest. The villa, set in the heart of an 8-hectare private estate, enjoys an ideal geographical location. It is situated in the middle of the golden triangle of Les Eyzies (the Cro-Magnon man), Montignac (the Lascaux IV caves) and Sarlat (the medieval city). The villa, renovated and decorated in spring 2020 by an interior designer, offers charm, refinement and meticulous decoration in an interior space of 114 m2. We welcome you with a local hamper on arrival to sample the delicacies of our region. If you're an early riser, you'll be lucky enough to spot some roe deer, which will accompany you during breakfast. During the day, you can relax in the private fenced swimming pool (4.5 x 10 m) with its large natural stone terrace and the gentle sound of the cicadas... In the evening, you can enjoy a drink with family and friends on the west-facing terrace as the sun sets. You can have lunch on the shady terrace facing east. There are plenty of games for children to play and let off steam. Outside, there's a swing, table tennis, basketball and badminton - inside, children's DVDs, books, board games, Lego, felt-tip pens and coloured pencils, etc. (1 bedroom has a flat-screen TV). Down below, the heart of the small village of Valojoulx, with its 12th-century church (listed as a historic monument), its magnificent lake and its typical, friendly farmers' market every Friday evening in summer. Make the most of your holiday, we can book visits to caves or castles for you on request, show you the best restaurants, suggest unusual horse or pony rides with a swim in the river, and suggest the best routes for walking or mountain biking. At the beginning and end of the season (i.e. early May and late September), we cannot guarantee an optimal swimming temperature due to cool outside temperatures. __ Villa Le Logis is adjoined by a second gîte, which also has its own swimming pool: peace and quiet are guaranteed, and there are no neighbours.
