The advantages of the accommodation
Description
Welcome to Gîte les Lions in Eu, Normandy! Our 3-star gîte is a 130 m2 detached house close to the shops and within easy reach of Le Tréport and Mers les Bains. It's equipped for the whole family, from the youngest to the oldest! Up to 5 adults/children and a baby (bath, potty, high chair, changing table, wooden bed and even a mobile deckchair). (Following the photos, you'll find a "you tube" link for a guided video tour). Parking is free on the street and a small car (type 208) can be parked in the enclosed courtyard if there is enough space for the electric gate to pass through. Entrance is via the air-conditioned conservatory with coat rack, dining area, armchair for 2, clothes line, iron and small ironing board. Then down the stairs to the spacious living room, which includes a fully equipped kitchen (with dishwasher) with dining area (2 stools), dining area, baby high chair and lounge with reclining sofas, 50-inch TV with Bouygues channels and DVD/USB player. On the same level, is the large bathroom with corner bath, walk-in shower and everything needed for baby's bath. Next door is a separate WC. From the bay window, you have access to an enclosed courtyard that is not overlooked. Here you will find teak garden furniture with a fixed, sheltered barbecue and a relaxation area on artificial turf (with 3 deckchairs in fine weather). Upstairs, in the landing room with child safety barrier (upstairs only), you will find a working from home area with screen, local books, safe and 2 large shelves for your luggage and belongings. To the right, the master bedroom with washbasin, private WC and a large baby area (wooden cot, changing table, etc.). And to the left, the large bedroom with three single beds, a television and a lovely games area. THINGS TO REMEMBER: The beds are ready when you arrive. Gloves/towels, bath towels and 2 tea towels are also provided. Consumables: soap, liquid soap, bubble bath, shower gel, shampoo, 2 rolls of toilet paper, 1 paper towel, washing-up liquid, salt/pepper/oil/vinegar, sugar, aluminium foil/parchment/parchment, matches, 2 tablets of washing-up liquid, household products and bin liners are provided but will not be replenished during your stay. In each bedroom, you'll find wardrobes, footstools and shelves for your personal belongings. Don't take up too much things, as plenty of baby equipment is available (see photos). Free internet access via Bouygues telecom fibre: the 2 televisions are wired and the wifi code is indicated on a mobile plate for your devices. Reversible air conditioning is located in the conservatory (please close the doors). Underfloor heating on the ground floor (wall-mounted thermostat). Upstairs, there are radiators and 1 fan in each bedroom. The velux in the bedrooms have electric shutters, as does the bay window (wall-mounted remote control). RULES : No smoking accommodation, ashtrays available outside (/!\artificial grass). Pets are not allowed as I live in the house next door with 2 dogs and 2 cats. Access to my courtyard will remain closed for the duration of your stay. On the ground floor, a "PRIVATE" room for my use will remain closed. I am flexible on arrival and departure times depending on other bookings of course. If I haven't finished putting everything back in place, I'll give you access to the veranda to leave your luggage beforehand. So don't hesitate to let me know in advance what times would suit you best. Don't waste water, electricity or heating for nothing. The accommodation is well insulated and the heat rises easily. THE SITE : Holidays or weekends in Eu: a royal town in bloom, with its historic monuments and state-owned forest. 4 km from the sea, the high cliffs, the fishing port of Le Tréport and the beaches. A little further north, the Baie de Somme with its sheep and seals. Close to the Avenue Verte and the GR21, from the Côte d'Albâtre to the Baie de Somme, your stay can be sporting, cultural or relaxing. To find out more, leaf through: the house guide (equipment and instructions), the practical guide (tide times, market days, etc.) and the tourist guide with advice, leaflets, maps and a calendar of events taking place on the dates of your stay. We look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful Normandy region!
Home
I started this adventure in August 2023 in addition to my professional activity. Being a host fills me with happiness, both for the discussions and for the joy of the travellers, young and old, that I meet. As far as possible, I will make myself available to welcome you. It's a special time for a guided tour and advice on what's on offer. A key box is available if you need it. (The code will be given to you on the day of your arrival). Booklets and tourist books are at your disposal: for events and markets, tide times, etc., for various instructions (waste management, etc.) and one for notices and explanations. (thermostat, air conditioning) We look forward to welcoming you and helping you make the most of your stay in Normandy and Haut de France!

I've been a host since August 2023 and this activity brings me a lot: meeting new people, exchanging ideas and seeing the happiness in the eyes of my travellers, especially the little ones. I also do my utmost to satisfy and advise as best I can. I live right next door, which is very practical, and I try to make myself as available as possible. I also like to introduce new features, this year a smart TV for the living room and connected thermostatic heads upstairs. I always look forward to welcoming my travellers, because for me 'gîte' is all about sharing!
