Description

An Authentic and Environmentally-Friendly Setting Our former 19th-century farmhouse has been restored using traditional techniques, with a strong commitment to integral ecology. The materials used, such as exposed beams and stones, come from local businesses located within a 20 km radius, ensuring a low environmental impact and a deep respect for local cultural heritage. Comfort and Authenticity The 70 m² gîte, accommodating up to 4 people, offers a warm and authentic atmosphere: * On the ground floor, a large, bright living space with a lounge, dining area, and open kitchen. * Upstairs, two comfortable bedrooms: the "Bergeronnette" room with a double bed (160x200) and the "Sittelle" room with two single beds (90x190). * Outdoors: a private garden with a terrace, garden furniture, and barbecue to enjoy the long summer evenings. An Eco-Responsible Stay We have chosen a pellet stove for heating, sourced from a local sawmill, to reduce our energy footprint. Soon, recyclable solar panels will further enhance our sustainable approach. Additionally, we are installing a rainwater harvesting system to water our organic vegetable garden, cultivated according to agroecological principles. Quality Services For optimal comfort, we provide: * 100% cotton or wool bed linen, selected for its ethical origin and French manufacturing. * Bed linens and towels included, with beds made upon your arrival. * Cleaning service included. After more than 20 years in business, we decided to move back to the countryside to follow the principles of integral ecology and open a gîte in the middle of nature: all you can hear at home are the crickets, the birds and the breeze in the foliage... Your children will be happy to feed our three goats, collect the eggs, walk the dog and, if you wish, you can harvest the lime tree with us, prepare elderberry and walnut wines in the summer, or make pâtés in the winter. We're happy to advise our guests on less-frequented escapes, little hunchbacked churches and clear rivers, and on the best addresses for craftsmen and producers. We also suggest that guests come with us to fish for crayfish, watch the sheep being shorn and lambs being lambed, or join in the small farm parties of our farmer friends.
