Welcome to "La Maison de Laurence": a haven of peace in Normandy! Immerse yourself in the warm atmosphere of our charming stone house, nestled in a bucolic setting in Mandeville-en-Bessin in Normandy, close to the D-Day landing beaches. This detached house offers you every comfort: Outside : Our gîte is surrounded by a pleasant enclosed garden with a south-facing terrace and a field of apple trees, where a gentle tranquillity reigns. Private, secure parking is available for your vehicles during your stay. Pets are welcome (1 dog max) at no extra charge. Inside : Living room with wood burner, fitted kitchen, two bedrooms: - one with1 double bed (160X200) - one with1 single bed (90X190) A shower room and separate toilet available Washing machine Complete baby equipment A supplement of 30 euros will be charged, depending on the period, for oil-fired central heating. Sheets and towels for hire We take a deposit of 300 euros Rental from Saturday to Saturday. Don't hesitate to contact me!

What you can do around Mondeville - Visit Bayeux The town of Bayeux is very close and well worth a visit: its tapestry (Bayeux Tapestry), its cathedral and its historic streets. The Musée Mémorial de la Bataille de Normandie (Battle of Normandy Memorial Museum) is a great place to learn about the history of the region. - The D-Day landing beaches The Bessin region is historically very marked by the D-Day landings of 1944: you can visit the beaches, museums and cemeteries. - Arromanches (with its post-war artificial harbour) is an emblematic site not to be missed. - The American cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer - Port-en-Bessin-Huppain The little port of Port-en-Bessin is charming and typical, with boats and a lovely harbour atmosphere. The Vauban Tower dominates the entrance to the port: a monument steeped in history. The Museum of Underwater Wrecks near Port-en-Bessin - Caen, a city steeped in history, with its restaurants and shops, as well as the Caen Memorial (45km from the gîte). - Discovering nature / the marshes Explore the Parc naturel régional des Marais du Cotentin et du Bessin: nature walks, birdwatching, wetland discovery. You can also go cycling: the region offers cycle routes (e.g. the VéloWestNormandy) that allow you to discover the coast and Normandy's landscapes.

1. From the N13, take the Formigny / Trévières exit. 2. At the roundabout, take the D517 towards Trévières. 3. Go through Trévières and continue on the D517 towards Mandeville-en-Bessin. 4. In Mandeville-en-Bessin, turn right onto Route de Teurteville. 5. Continue along this road until you reach number 10, which will be on your right.
