Welcome to La Chauvinière, Léo's 3-star gîte for 6 people, with private terrace overlooking the outbuildings and garden. - A secure swimming pool shared by the 3 gîtes will be inaugurated in June 2025. Remember to bring your towels for access. This Maison de Maître dating from 1719, recently renovated in 2024, with views over the countryside: La Chauvinière is an accommodation located in Tonnay-Charente, 1km from amenities, 10 minutes from the beaches, 14 minutes from Rochefort and 25 minutes from La Rochelle. This 120 m2 self-catering cottage is attached to the owners' home. - It comprises a beautiful living area including a lounge with a television, wifi, a fully-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, Nespresso machine and various electrical appliances for preparing your meals. - On the ground floor, there is a bedroom with 2 single beds and a shower room with toilet and washing machine. - On the 1st floor, there are 2 spacious bedrooms with king-size beds (160cm), antique wardrobes for storing your belongings and a shower room with a walk-in shower. - You can park your car in the private car park, with electric gates and security cameras. A cot and high chair are available on request. Bed linen and cleaning are included in your booking. Please provide a deposit cheque to be given to the owners, which will NOT be cashed. Your pet is not accepted. As an option, you can reserve your own towels and kitchen linen. We are Van and Dany, the owners of La Chauvinière, dedicated to making your stay memorable and enjoyable. We hope to welcome you "as at home", in a harmonious and comfortable setting, for an unforgettable holiday in our beautiful Charente Maritime region.

Access map
🚗 Access by car from La Rochelle Take the D202 towards Rochefort. In Rochefort, follow the signs to Tonnay-Charente. Continue on the D137 until you reach Tonnay-Charente. On entering Tonnay-Charente, follow the signs for La Chauvinière. The journey takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. 🚌 Public transport Tonnay-Charente station is served by TER Nouvelle-Aquitaine trains running between Saintes and La Rochelle-Porte-Dauphine. Bus routes from the R'bus network also link Tonnay-Charente to Rochefort and other neighbouring towns.
