Just 20 minutes away, the Lac de Bort-les-Orgues is a top destination for families, with swimming, beaches, water-skiing, pedal-boating, sailing and fishing on one of the largest lakes in the region. Don't miss a visit to the Château de Val, a medieval jewel on the water's edge, ideal for photos and a cultural outing. Hiking enthusiasts can explore the Dordogne gorges, the Monts du Cantal and the Massif du Sancy, with numerous signposted trails, volcanic panoramas and nature trails starting from the gîte or just a few kilometres away.
