This cottage is located in the village of Anglards-de-Salers in the Parc Naturel Régional des Volcans d'Auvergne.


You will be staying just 10 km from Salers and close to many natural sites ideal for outdoor activities.


During your holidays in Pays de Salers, you will have the chance to observe wonderful panoramas, discover a remarkable heritage and taste the riches of the Cantal region.


A holiday home with 3 bedrooms in Anglards-de-Salers
This charming terraced house, 70 m², is spread over 2 floors and can accommodate up to 6 travelers.


On the ground floor, the large living room is made up of three spaces.
The kitchen area has all the equipment (hob, oven, dishwasher, etc.) to prepare delicious meals for the whole family. It naturally extends into a dining area where each guest can sit comfortably at the table.


The lounge area is organized around the imposing original cantou, large fireplace, which has been preserved. It now houses a wood-burning stove, perfect for enjoying a moment by the fire. The strong elements of the decoration, wooden beams and exposed stone walls, underline the authenticity of the place.


Two bedrooms with wood-panelled ceilings are on the first level. One is equipped with a double bed (140 cm), the other with 2 single beds (90 cm). If you come with a baby, a kit will be made available to you, on request. A spacious bathroom occupies this floor. When you return from the hike, you will appreciate the relaxing virtues of the jet shower.


Under the roof, on the second floor, a large bedroom, with a 140 cm bed and a TV, offers an intimate space.


To entertain you, the cottage is equipped with an Internet connection, board games and a TV, installed in the living room. In addition, the accommodation consists of 2 independent toilets, on the ground floor and on the first floor.


In fine weather, you will enjoy a large private terrace of 70 m². The place is ideal for enjoying good grilled meats around the barbecue or for lazing in the sun on the deckchairs.


The house has a private parking lot allowing to park 3 vehicles.
Pets are not allowed in this rental.

Just 5 km from your cottage, you can walk along the mountain pastures. 20 explanatory terminals on the history of the burons and the cheese-making activity line this 12 km round trip footpath. During the walk, you will be amazed by the 360° view of the Cantal mountains and the Sancy massif.


To perfect your knowledge of the rural world, head towards Saint-Bonnet-de-Salers, 7 km from your holiday resort, and stop at La Maison de la Salers. This interactive museum is dedicated to the Salers cow. Touch screens and short films punctuate the visit, which ends with a tasting of local products. During the summer period, treasure hunts are organized.


In a setting of volcanic rocks and forest, 7 km from your accommodation, the Salins waterfall and its 30-meter waterfall will offer you a refreshing break.


If you are looking for a family activity and / or adapted to people who are not very sporty, Le Pédalorail du Grand Pays de Salers is for you. From Drignac station, rent a pedalorail, classic or electric, and follow one of the 4 circuits.


The most athletic will appreciate the Onirika leisure park. In the heart of the Falgoux forest, 5 tree climbing courses and a 400 m² Arbofilets await you. The park also offers an Explor Games activity and the rental of electric mountain bikes to explore the nearby Puy Mary.


The Grand Site de France Puy Mary – Volcan du Cantal is one of the unmissable sites of the department. Recognizable by its pyramidal silhouette, you can easily access its summit (1787 meters) thanks to a landscaped path.


At the foot of Puy Mary, the Maison de site du Pas de Peyrol tells the story of volcanism and informs visitors about the discovery trails of the Cantal massif (hikes, visits, etc.).


If you want to go hiking, the territory of Puy Mary will delight you with its 34 short hiking trails (PR) and its 2 GR®. If you are more of a 2-wheeler, motorcycle, bicycle or mountain bike, you will find what you are looking for on the slopes and winding roads of Cantal.

A vacation to enjoy the architectural and culinary heritage
Another unmissable destination during your stay: Salers. Strolling through the narrow streets of this Most Beautiful Villages of France, all of volcanic stone and slate roofs clad in slate, you will travel back in time. From your gite in Anglards-de-Salers, you can take the historic route of the Châteaux d’Auvergne.

Start with the Château de la Trémolière which is 2 km from your vacation rental. The castle is home to a treasure: Le Bestiaire Fantastique, an exceptional collection of Aubusson tapestries from the 16th century. It also has a garden, labeled “Remarkable Garden”.

Continue your tour to the village of Tournemire. Since 1430, the same family has lived in the Château d'Anjony, a typical fortress decorated with remarkable frescoes from the 16th century. Extend your visit to the charming town of Tournemire, listed as the Most Beautiful Villages in France.

Built between 1364 and 1510, the castle of Auzers and its characteristic architecture of Haute-Auvergne, is worth the detour. This lively place has been inhabited by the same family since the 15th century.
