Description
The place des Ormes is an oasis of preserved greenery, with an old farm body, an organic orchard, a permaculture vegetable garden and a large park. Our project is dedicated to the transition of our society towards more human and environmental resilience. It is unique in the territory because of its specificity of bringing together in one place: martial arts and permaculture, cultural programming and a sustainable tourism activity, a shared habitat and the preservation of local biodiversity.

In fusion with nature, the POD is a simple wooden cabin concept that meets the need for a return to nature and the essential. It is an eco-friendly construction using only natural construction and insulation materials. Comfortable and spacious, it is equipped with electricity and heating and can offer up to 3 beds. Wonderfully enigmatic, these cabins are beautiful in their simplicity. They have a real presence without ever imposing themselves… The 3 small huts are located in the middle of our orchard. You will find apple trees, pear trees, cherry trees, raspberries and blackcurrants. These 3 pods consist of a room with a bed with all the necessary bedding. A small electric heating, a window and a door. Outside there is a terrace with garden furniture to relax. There is a key for each pod. When you arrive, we give you the key. Please return it to us when you leave. You will find the instructions for heating in your pod.

🌳 Nature and walks Forêt d'Argonne: walks, wildlife watching. Lac du Der-Chantecoq (approx. 50 mins away): Europe's largest man-made lake, beach, water sports, birdwatching (migration of grey cranes). Walks in the Champagne plain: agricultural landscapes, small typical villages. 🏰 Heritage and culture Châlons-en-Champagne (20-25 min): Notre-Dame-en-Vaux collegiate church (UNESCO listed). Cloister of the Récollets convent. Boat trips on the canals. Reims (45 min): Notre-Dame de Reims Cathedral (UNESCO). Palais du Tau and Saint-Remi basilica. Museums (fine arts, automobile, etc.). Vitry-le-François (30 min): Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption church, walks along the banks of the Marne. Wine and gastronomy Champagne tourist route (accessible from Épernay, Reims or Châlons). Cellar visits, champagne tasting and local produce. Farm inns and local restaurants in the surrounding villages. 🎭 Leisure and discovery Shows and festivals in Châlons-en-Champagne (e.g. Furies, international street arts festival). Grande Romanie golf course in Sommesous (~20 min). Horse-riding and riding centres nearby.

How to get to Coupéville (Marne) 1. By plane Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle airport (Roissy-CDG): about 1 hour 30 minutes by car, or TGV to Reims then road to Coupéville. Paris-Vatry airport (in the Marne region): charter and low-cost flights. Approximately 40 minutes' drive from Coupéville. Reims-Prunay or Écury-sur-Coole aerodrome: reserved for light aircraft. 2. By train Coupéville has no train station. The nearest stations are Châlons-en-Champagne (~25 km away) and Reims (~40 km away). From these stations, you'll need a taxi, VTC or car. 3. By bus There is a regional bus network in the Marne, but Coupéville is not directly served. You can travel by bus to Châlons-en-Champagne or Reims, then by car/taxi to Coupéville. 4. By car Coupéville is crossed by the D1 (Saint-Jean-sur-Moivre - Marson - Châlons-en-Champagne link). From the south, access via the D860 (towards Vanault-le-Châtel and Saint-Amand-sur-Fion). Approximate distances : From Reims: ~40 km, approximately 45 minutes. From Châlons-en-Champagne: ~25 km, about 25 minutes. Parking available at the town hall (Place de la Mairie). 5. Taxis / VTC Available in the region (Châlons, Reims, neighbouring villages). Practical for the train station ↔ Coupéville link.
