In a small picturesque village, we welcome you to the gîte "La Bascule" You enter through the large door and you arrive directly into a very spacious, fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, stove, oven, fridge / freezer) opening onto the large terrace with views over the valley. On the right, large living room with a large solid wood table and large openings, lounge area with sofa in front of the fireplace insert. On the garden side, a first bedroom with a 140cm bed and a bathroom with walk-in shower, the separate toilet. The hallway to the left of the fireplace leads to the utility room with washer and dryer. The corridor to the right of the fireplace leads into the second bedroom on the ground floor, equipped with bathroom, walk-in shower and WC. 2 beds of 90cm can be twinned. The ground floor is accessible for people with reduced mobility. Upstairs is a third bedroom with a 140cm bed and a bathroom with walk-in shower and WC. Next to the gîte, the Santiago de Compostela pilgrimage route passes by and leads to other hiking trails. A basketball court and table tennis table are 80m from the gîte. To the south of the village, the Lizet lake offers a path around it, or you can go fishing! The village tennis court is just 500m away. Electrically-assisted bicycles can be hired by prior arrangement. There is a swimming pool in Mirande (10 minutes away). A number of beautiful little villages in the region are well worth a visit. Various festivals take place throughout the year, such as Les Bandas in Condom, the Country Festival in Mirande, Jazz in Marciac, Tempo Latino in Vic Fezensac, the Festival de D'Artagnan in Lupiac, Montesquiou on the Rocks and others. There's plenty to do in the Gers, which you can discover through the tourist offices, the CDT du Gers and the guide-du-gers.

German by birth, I chose the Gers in 1992 to live in France. Since 2000 I've been sharing my life with Roland at his farm in Bazian. Our passion for horses has brought us together, inspiring me to take on a few more horses on the 30ha farm and, as an equestrian tourism guide (French diploma awarded in 1999), to take holidaymakers on horseback rides. In a few years' time, I'll be handing over the reins to our daughter Lucie, who is already working hard to continue this small family business.
