Description
New seafront house (2015) on the Normandy coast (Côte de Nacre, between the ports of Courseulles-sur-mer and Ouistréham Riva Bella).Remarkably situated on the sea wall facing the sea and the sandy beach (no cars passing by); at the end of the garden, through the gate, you can walk or cycle to our two neighbours Saint Aubin-sur-mer and Luc-sur-mer to enjoy mini-golf, the casinos or the thalasso des trois mondes ... before relaxing on the terrace for tea or seafood. Discover the Normandy coast in this "children's" village for your HOLIDAYS (see the Langrune-sur-mer site, dynamic sailing club, tennis, boules and numerous associations) with its new PARK for the little ones and that of Luc-sur-mer for the animals and especially its whale... (skeleton) or simply by letting them cycle along the seafront by the dykes. Facing north/south with parking (2.80 m wide) for one or two cars, enclosed courtyard before the entrance and facing the sea large windows then wooden terrace (also house) and a few steps between the lawns to reach the beach cabin and garden before passing the door giving onto the seawall/promenade to be crossed to go down onto the sand and dive into the sea ... Sandy beach, high tide and low tide which makes the biggest playground for the children that you always have under the eyes of the house, the terrace while listening to the sea or better installed you also on the beach with all the necessary at disposal in the cabin but also two bicycles for adults practical to leave to make its market and also to visit (always along the sea) the villages of Lion-sur-mer, Hermanville-sur-mer and Colleville-sur-mer on the east side and Bernière-sur-mer and its dune on the west side before the port of Courseulles-sur-mer where fishermen sell their fish on the quay every morning; the true face of the Normandy coast, not forgetting the Special Pleine Mer oysters from Asnelles: the CALVADOSIENNE! The historic region of the Normandy coast and Calvados, from William the Conqueror (Dives-sur-mer, Falaise, Caen) to the landing beaches of 6 June 1944, you have the first sites less than 30 minutes away and then the ease of getting there quickly (by car) from Honfleur, with its butterfly hothouse, wooden church in the old town and numerous galleries, to Cherbourg where the 128m nuclear submarine "Le Redoutable" awaits you in the harbour where it sails to satisfy the curiosity of visitors to the CITE DE LA MER. If, because of or in spite of the sea view from the desk in bedroom 3 upstairs, romantics and hard workers are not inspired, head for Cabourg, with its beautiful promenade, its grand Hôtel Casino and its Norman houses. If that's not enough, Deauville is just around the corner, where you can soak up the luxury of the pool before drying off on the boards at ..... On the way back, don't miss the seaside, the Anglo-Norman coastline where the beautiful houses compete in grandeur and materials, lined up to face the English Channel: Trouville-sur-me, Villers-sur-mer (dinosaur museum), the black cows and Houlgate with its Blue Green golf course before Dives-sur-mer, the marina. Don't miss the D-Day landing beaches; you're on one of them between JUNO and SWORD. Don't forget to visit the "little" sites and museums close to your rental accommodation: the Atlantic Wall Museum by the bunker blockhouse at Riva Belle Ouistréham, then (by bike, it's possible) Pegasus Bridge and the café gondrée (the first house liberated by the glider commandos, their museum is opposite) in the commune of Bénouville. Back on the dunes facing the sea, in Courseulles-sur-mer after the port, the superb JUNO BEACH museum where you can learn a lot about the history of CANADA from 1914. You're still on the right road along the historic beaches to learn what an artificial harbour was: ARROMANCHE, a museum for everyone and 360 for the grown-ups. Then the beaches won by the Americans, OMAHA, UTHA; overlord museum before walking on the sandy beaches of Saint-Laurent-sur-mer and Colleville-sur-mer, a must! There is no shortage of religious buildings, and after Caen (with its churches, abbeys and château, see the town hall!) and following in Guillaume's footsteps, stop off at BAYEUX for its "lace" and visit the Ntre-Dame Cathedral amid the narrow streets and middle-class houses. Finally ... In the 11th century, commissioned by Bishop Odon, William's brother, the BAYEUX FABRIC is listed as a "Memory of the World" by UNESCO. It's also possible to enjoy your holiday without having to travel: all the small food shops in the village centre are just a 5-minute walk away, and super U and Intermarché are just a 5-minute drive away (delivery possible), or the St Aubin-sur-mer market on Sunday mornings is just a 5-minute bike ride away. For the peace of mind of parents, children can easily build sandcastles, play in holes and ponds before continuing to play in the water and swim. See you soon! Many customers come back, so if you want to "remember" a period, do it quickly, see the previous year AND confirm that in January ...
