Etretat __: The world-famous cliffs of Etretat in Normandy! Just over 15 minutes' drive from our rental house, this is a must-see during your stay in Normandy. These majestic white chalk cliffs are pierced by arches, where you can see the needle in the middle of the sea. These unique landscapes, painted by Monet, await you. And what about a bit of rail-biking? First, take the train from Etretat to Les Loges, then pedal back down! A good time guaranteed... Fécamp: Our Normandy house is 10 minutes from Fécamp, on the Côte d'Albâtre. Fécamp is still an authentic town with its harbour and fishermen's houses. Climb to Cap Fagnet and discover the chapel of the Virgin Mary overlooking the whole of Fécamp from the top of the cliff. Visit the musée des pécheries and the Palais Bénédictine, where 27 plants and spices are used to make Bénédictine. Near Fécamp town centre, chocolate lovers will be delighted by the Musée du Chocolat. For nature lovers, there are walks along the footpaths or a visit to the Louanne gardens. If you're feeling adventurous, you can take to the skies at Woody Park. Le Havre: our fisherman's cottage is just 1 hour away. Take a stroll through the city centre, which is a World Heritage Site for its Perret architecture, including the Place de l'Hôtel de Ville and the surrounding area. Be sure to visit the Perret show flat - it's like stepping back in time! And enter St Joseph's church, impressive with its central tower illuminated by small, colourful stained glass windows. It's not all modern, though, with the Maison de l'Armateur (18th century) and Notre-Dame Cathedral (partly 16th century)... Take a boat trip to discover part of the port of Le Havre, France's second-largest port, before strolling along the seafront with its villas in Sainte-Adresse. Do you prefer Impressionist paintings? Then the Muma is the ideal place to discover the works of Boudin, Monet, Sisley, Pissarro... Or simply take the time to stroll around the Place des Halles and its food shops, or the Docks Vauban with its many fashion boutiques, cinema... A little warm, you have the Bains des Docks swimming pool designed by the architect Jean Nouvel with many activities. Cross the Pont de Normandie, and you're in Honfleur, Trouville-Deauville and the Côte fleurie... _
