The harbour and shops are just 100 m away, and the beach is 500 m away, making this the ideal place to spend your holiday on foot or by bike!

We bought this house out of love at first sight, so that we could come and spend some relaxing, peaceful times here, and it wasn't until we retired (in 2007) that we thought about renting it out. It has to be said, the aim was to supplement our income, but also to make new contacts. That's why we make a point of being present when holidaymakers arrive to meet them and also when they leave to gather their impressions and observations, which help us to progress. When we bought this house in 1996, it was in a poor state of repair and badly maintained. After a few years of renovation and decoration, it has become a very pleasant holiday home. What motivated us to buy it was its location in a small street in the old town of Saint Gilles, close to all the shops but still very quiet. In summer, when the weather is sunny, the most important room is the courtyard, which is completely enclosed and sheltered from the wind and view. We live in Challans, 25 km from St Gilles Croix de Vie, so if you have any problems we'll be on hand to try and help. It takes us about 30 minutes to get there.
