Activities to do in the Orne

Let yourself be seduced by the Orne département thanks to its verdant landscapes and its many outdoor activities. In the heart of the Andaines forest, you'll find the spa town of Bagnoles-de-l'Orne, renowned for its healing waters. You can relax here or go horse-riding, golfing or hiking during your stay in the region. If you'd like to find out more about the rural world, pay a visit to the Michaudière farm. Located in Bagnoles de l'Orne, 40 kilometres west of Alençon and 80 kilometres south of Caen, this is the typical farm of the Normandy bocage! You'll discover the traditions of the farm and the draught horse, typical of the region, as well as a large collection of old farming equipment, a miniature reconstruction of a farm from the 1920s, a saddlery… Young and old alike can get up close to goats, donkeys, pigs, horses and other farm animals. The Haras du Pin is located in Le Pin-au-Haras, 70 kilometres south of Caen in the Orne department. It is the oldest of France's 20 national stud farms.
