The ports of embarkation are located at Fromentine, in the commune of La Barre de Monts, and at Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie. However, the latter is only open during the summer months. Two companies offer these crossings, Compagnie Vendéenne and Yeu Compagnie. The crossing by sea takes around 35 minutes.
