Discover Île-de-Bréhat in the Côtes d'Armor and the surrounding area during your holiday

Bréhat is a human-sized island of around two kilometres, leaving plenty of time to visit for a day on a getaway, or for a longer stay, guaranteeing well-deserved relaxation. With family or friends, book a bed and breakfast and set off to discover Île-de-Bréhat.

You'll be on the island in no time... From the Île-de-Bréhat pier in the commune of Ploubazlanec, Pointe de l'Arcouest, the crossing to the island with the Vedettes de Bréhat will take you just ten minutes. However, for the more curious, the tour of the island can take around an hour. Discovering the island from the sea means opening up to new horizons and new landscapes, and why not take advantage of an encounter with a sea lion, a cormorant, an old sailing ship, and take the time to say hello to the boats sailing between the rocks and the many small islets of the Bréhat archipelago. This could also be an opportunity to see the Peacock Lighthouse at the northern end of the island if you don't have the courage or inclination to get there from land.

On Flower Island, let yourself be surprised by the biodiversity present, and the many varieties of plants and flowers. Let your senses guide you as you discover the scent of the flowers that accompany your strolls around the island, that distinctive purple of agapanthus as you stroll through the picturesque lanes. There is a microclimate on the island, linked to the Gulf Stream, with temperatures so mild that plants have made it their home, much to the delight of the Breton people.

Activities to do on Île-de-Bréhat in Côtes d'Armor and the surrounding area during your holidays or weekends.

On Bréhat, in Brittany, there's something for everyone: relaxation, walks, gastronomy... And all types of stay are available by the night or by the week, in Clévacances guest rooms.

On the hiking side, there's nothing like letting yourself be guided naturally through the many streets, skirting the sea, or strolling through the village.

For lovers of small heritage sites, you'll be dazzled by the Tide Mill, the Chapel of Saint Michel and the Peacock Lighthouse. Book a bed and breakfast and visit the Verreries de Bréhat. These glassworks are also a great curiosity to discover, installed in the old fort, they are internationally renowned.

At lunchtime, treat yourself to a gourmet break in one of the many restaurants in the island's market town, or for a snack, try an artisanal ice cream. Don't forget to enjoy a convivial aperitif in the island's main square, and for just a moment, sample the charm of island life.

Before you leave, take a swim in this turquoise blue water. Alternatively, simply lie back on the beach at Guerzido, and admire the seagulls and gulls as they fly overhead!

At the end of the day, it's time to head back to the island.

On your way back don't forget to explore Paimpol or Beauport Abbey. And if you haven't had time to see everything, there's nothing left to do but plan another stay in one of the Clévacances guest houses on the Île-de-Bréhat.
