Small mountain resorts and modest country villages aren't the only places to spend an idyllic holiday in France - far from it! There are also a number of urban locations where you can enjoy a memorable holiday. To help you find the right accommodation and the right city, take a look at some of our offers.

To see just how many attractive pied-à-terre we have in France, take advantage of your mouse wheel and you'll discover the selection of flats and other holiday rentals listed on our site. Located in large or medium-sized towns, they have everything to please travellers looking for a rejuvenating holiday. These include tastefully decorated studio flats and low-cost flats with terraces, making budget holidays accessible to as many people as possible. There are also large-capacity rentals, ideal for those who are less price-conscious. Among these, it's hard to resist a holiday home with a swimming pool or a villa with a garden. There's also the gîte with swimming pool, a heavenly accommodation solution for summer holidays in France. The accommodation at your disposal comes with a wifi connection and is systematically equipped with parking facilities (free and paying car parks nearby, park and ride facilities).
This rental in the centre of a town with more than 20,000 inhabitants is likely to be located in the very varied environments characteristic of France. For example, we're referring to France's major cities such as Paris, Lyon, Marseille or Toulouse or in smaller towns like Tours, Nancy, Grenoble, Nîmeswhere you might find a small studio as well as a large villa with a garden. Further west, it's flats with terraces and charming gites that have the capacity to hold your attention, particularly those in Saint Malo, Quimper, Saint Pol de Léon, Vannes or Saint Brieux. Further south, for example, we suggest accommodation with rave reviews from previous guests, such as a studio apartment overlooking the port of Port Nazaire. In Occitania, there's also no shortage of destinations for people looking for a holiday in a town they've never explored, close to the shops. These include Gaillac, Saint Céré, Albi and Rocamadour, where it's a no-brainer to rent a low-cost flat in a holiday residence. In the rest of France, you could notably also find in a house with terrace in Aix les Bains inSavoie, in Gérardmerin the Vosges or in Montrond les Bains in the Loire.

While some rural locations are sadly lacking in leisure activities, the same cannot be said for most towns and cities in France. So there's no shortage of things to do during your stay, no matter where you set down your suitcases. Take escape games, for example, which have become popular all over the country and have the added advantage of being able to be played when it's raining. Then there's the animal park. In the north, Nausicaà attracts the crowds, while in the Centre Val de Loire, tourists flock first and foremost to Beauval Zoo. Culturally enriching activities include visits to museum institutions. These include the Musée du Nougat and the Musée Dauphinois for those treating themselves to a holiday in the AURA Region. In Brittany, water-based leisure activities are among the top holiday diversions. France's town centres are packed with museums, bars, restaurants and shops. Something to keep young and old busy during your city break.
