Among the 1.5 million fishing enthusiasts in France, there are many who wish to enjoy this pastime away from their home region. Among the very comfortable accommodation on offer on our site are a number of fishing gites, perfectly suited to their requirements.

These accommodations, some of which are located near a castle or other emblematic work of our heritage, have the advantage of being close to the sea, a river or another body of water (5 km or 15 minutes away maximum). For all these reasons, they are the ideal accommodation (chalet, gîte, guest house, etc.) for anglers who enjoy fishing with toc, bolognese or coup au coup, as well as other enthusiasts of this popular sport. Of course, these houses, consisting of one or more bedrooms with single or double beds, can be booked during the fishing season or at high tide. In each cottage, the owners provide travellers with the appropriate documentation (location, fishing permits, regulations, boat hire, nearby shops) and a place dedicated to returning from fishing, including a fridge / icebox for storing bait.
Silur in the Tarn, salmonids in the Pyrenees, trout in the Hérault...certain species are more common in certain areas, and for this reason there are some excellent accommodation options in all 4 corners of France. You'll have no trouble finding your ideal fishing lodge by browsing our accommodation, whether you prefer to fish in fresh or salt water. If it's in the Auvergne that you want to spend a weekend fishing, there are a number of gites that will charm you. These include accommodation on the banks of Lac de Grandval in theCantal, near Lac d'Issarlès in Ardèche and very close to Lac de Saint Etienne Cantales. In other attractive destinations, you're likely to stay in a fishing gîte with a garden or a private estate featuring a chalet on the edge of a pond. In Valmeinier, Villegusien le Lac, Sainte Livrade sur Lot or Sainte Marie, it's even easy to book a holiday in a fishing gîte with a bedroom overlooking the nearest body of water.

These beautifully decorated accommodations give you the opportunity to stay in them during the peak fishing seasons, in all 4 corners of France. Of course, there are a variety of activities to enjoy in the surrounding area, in addition to fishing. Spending a few days in Brittany, on the shores of Lac de Guerledan, you could head off to explore the nearby medieval town of Montcourt. Would you prefer to stop off in the Jura? If so, we recommend one of the rentals near the Lac des Rouges Truites, a pied à terre that will give you a quick connection to the attractive destination of Lausanne. If you're heading for the Alps, it's a good idea to spend a holiday in Moustier Sainte Marie, and take the opportunity to discover the wonders of Gréoux-les-Bains, including its remarkable château. Other bodies of water and destinations near which you could find accommodation to your taste include Lac de Vassivière, Etang de Farges, Lac de Gerardmer, Etang de Thau, Sainte Radegonde, Lannes and Chef Boutonne, among others.
