Brienne-le-Château, a charming town in the Aube department, is an ideal destination for a peaceful break combining culture and nature. Famous for having welcomed the young Napoleon Bonaparte to military school, the town boasts a remarkable heritage. It is also close to the Forêt d'Orient Regional Nature Park, offering privileged access to nature.

The Napoleon Museum, housed in the former château that was home to the military school where Bonaparte studied, provides an opportunity to delve into imperial history. It features personal objects, rare documents and immersive reconstructions. The renovated building itself is a fine example of 18th-century classical architecture.
Located at the gateway to the Forêt d'Orient Regional Nature Park, Brienne is surrounded by wooded landscapes, waymarked footpaths and large lakes, such as Lac du Der or Lac d'Orient. Ideal for outdoor activities: hiking, cycling, birdwatching or canoeing.
