ARRIVAL AT ROLAND GARROS AIRPORT If you arrive at Gillot Airport, you are a 1 hour 15 minute drive from the villa. Head towards Saint-Denis, drive through the capital, Saint-Denis, and head towards Saint-Pierre. Stay on the dual carriageway and do not drive into the towns, unless you have time to take a short detour to the beaches in the west. You’ll pass through La Possession, Le Port, Saint-Paul, Saint-Gilles, L’Ermitage, La Saline, Saint-Leu, Les Avirons, Etang Salé and Saint-Louis in turn. After about an hour’s drive, you’ll pass through Saint-Louis. Stay on the dual carriageway; after the bridge over the River Saint-Etienne, before the exit for Pierrefonds Airport, you’ll pass a petrol station on your right. Take the next exit on your right: following the signs for ‘Pierrefonds Airport, D26 Entre-deux, Bois D’olives, Ravine des Cabris’. You will cross back over the dual carriageway; at this point, you are 12 minutes’ drive from the villa and 8.2 km away. Follow signs for ‘D26 Entre-deux, Bois D’olives, Ravine des Cabris’ (stay on the D26 and do not leave it; the villa is on this local road). You’ll pass a first roundabout, then a second, with an ENGEN petrol station on your left; do not turn right (onto the D27). After the second roundabout, take the left-hand turn-off towards “D26 La Rivière”. 1.5 km from this turn-off, you’ll cross a green metal bridge; just after the bridge, do not turn left into the riverbed but carry on straight ahead. 2.2 km from this metal bridge, you’ll come to a stop sign; turn left – the villa is 2.4 km away. As you enter the village of L’Entre-deux, you’ll come to a bus lay-by on your left, followed by two speed bumps; the villa is 200 metres on your right (No. 99) after the second speed bump. Ring the bell at No. 99; if I don’t answer, I’ll be at No. 103 C, thirty metres before the self-catering accommodation.
