In the heart of the Parc Naturel des Volcans d'Auvergne, numerous hiking and mountain-biking trails and opportunities to discover the flora and fauna. In winter, there are cross-country ski trails, sledges and snowshoes. This newly restored and refurbished gîte, comfortably furnished and equipped, comprises a large main room made up of two sections separated by a screen and a difference in level (1 step of 15 cm): - bedroom area with double bed (140cm): for added comfort, sheets are provided and the bed is made up on arrival. - living/dining room with 120cm sofa bed. The cosy lounge area is equipped with a flat-screen TV, a Bluetooth sound bar, an internet box, a DVD player, a library and lots of board games. The separate kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to make your stay as comfortable as possible. A shower room, with enclosed shower, washbasin and storage space, adjoins the bedroom, and a separate WC completes the accommodation. All baby equipment is available on request: cot, high chair, etc. You'll also have a large enclosed garage to keep your car out of the snow or to store your motorbikes or bicycles. There's also plenty of space to store your equipment when you return from skiing or hiking. We also provide snowshoes, sledges and walking sticks. Murat, a small town of character dominated by three rocks, is well worth a visit for its squares and narrow streets. Then there's St Flour, Chaudes-aigues, Aurillac and Salers, not forgetting a number of castles worth a visit: Pesteils, Anjony, du Sailhant and Alleuze, as well as such must-sees as Le Puy Mary, the Garabit viaduct and the artificial lakes formed by a series of hydroelectric reservoirs on the river Truyere.
