Our gîte, rated 3 Etoiles (March 2021) and 3 Clés (November 2023), is ideally located in central Alsace, in Rombach le Franc, a small village in the Val d'Argent between the wine route and the route des crêtes. You can discover the many tourist sites in the surrounding area, such as the Haut Koenigsbourg castle, the silver mines, the animal parks and take advantage of the many festive, cultural and sporting events in the Val d'Argent. The holiday apartment is a spacious, functional duplex on the 1st floor of a renovated Vosges farmhouse facing south. It has direct access to a landscaped courtyard. Its warm decor and wood panelling add to its charm. INTERIOR LAYOUT : Access to the duplex and the landscaped rear courtyard via a very bright covered terrace on the 1st floor of the building. OUTDOOR FURNITURE : In the rear courtyard overlooking a small flower-filled garden on the mountainside, you can enjoy the peace and privacy of the garden furniture and barbecue to recharge your batteries, bask in the sun in the deckchairs facing a generous nature, with birdsong in the background music. With a bit of luck, you'll be able to admire the wild fauna of the massif (roe deer, red deer, wild boar, chamois, etc.), which sometimes venture out of the woods near the gîte. WHAT TO DO IN THE SURROUNDING AREA The Val d'Argent is a paradise for sports enthusiasts, who can go hiking from the gîte, with many routes signposted by the Club Vosgien. Cyclists, mountain bikers and mountain bikers will find an ideal holiday destination, with 320 km of signposted trails and 18 circuits. Adventure activities include caving, underground via ferrata and escape games in the mines. Fishing in the local ponds, swimming in Sainte Marie or at the Aquavallées water sports centre in nearby Bassemberg, canoeing and kayaking in Sélestat...
