Welcome to the mill ! Mariette and Christian welcome you like friends in the Schwingmuhle mill gite, situated in an especially calm and quiet place in the middle of the forest and in the heart of the North Vosges nature reserve. BETWEEN OAKS FORESTS AND PIND SAND PATHS. The Land of Bitche is a contrasted country, where wide wooded valleys – welcoming – invite you to dawdle. Our region is an ancestral natural barrier which is looking after by many feudal castles and old monasteries which are sharpening our hills high points. The forests rumble from the firs needles and are perfumed with dense cover of bilberries. Strollers, you would be pleased by the outings cool stops around some cascades and glades which smell good fern. The Schwingmühle mill gite can comfortably accommodate 6 to 8 people on nearly 11O m². The 25m² terrace and its set of garden furniture will allow you to meet you up during the long summer evenings. The terrace is adjoining to a shady garden, not enclosed, fitted out with “relax” armchairs, near the swings; ideal for keeping an eye on the children, or for reading. The house has: one bathroom with a shower, waters, and 3 bedrooms (2 with double beds, one with single bed; one childbed, one 2 persons sofa bed). On your request, we can provide you the sheets and the pillowcases. To note for the allergic people: the pillowcases are not stuffed with feathers but with foam rubber. A mezzanine overhangs the living room. It is fitted out with a cosy little living room which allows watching TV (satellite). We put a DVD drive at your disposal if the TV programs weren’t to your liking. The kitchen is all fitted out to make your stay easier: a washing up machine, a washing machine, an oven, a fridge with a freezer, a kettle, an electric coffee maker … after all, you’re in holidays! The gite is heated thanks to a really efficient central heating. Indeed, winter in the Land of Bitche is often cold and harsh. Just as the fall and spring evenings, which are generally cool. You will appreciate the cosiness of the heaters. On top of that, a closed fireplace is at your disposal in the living room. The wood is provided free.

Our guests usually arrive on Saturday afternoons from 4.00 pm and leave the cottage the following Saturday at around 10.00 am.
