Walk along a gravel path that climbs some thirty metres above the village of Gédre. This old path lined with hazel trees leads you to the house known as "eth cardit", the blacksmith's house. Christine, the owner, has turned it into a timeless place, where nothing exists but the pleasure of being there, in the mountains. Hikers love its cosy rustic feel, its spacious rooms, but above all its terrace, ideal for lounging and admiring the panoramic views over the Gavarnie valley and the Taillon: you're in the original Pyrenees here!
