The advantages of the accommodation
Description
The 2 of you can stay in this cosy, peaceful flat, nestled in the Château de Locquéran, with a superb view over the port of Audierne. You can stroll through the 2 hectares of parkland or take the coastal path at the foot of the château, which allows you to do a 12 km loop without leaving the Goyen. As you walk, you'll have the pleasure of meeting egrets, cormorants, seagulls, maybe a heron... In just a few minutes, you can enjoy the beach or stroll along Audierne's pretty harbour. You'll find all the local shops, fresh fish, designer boutiques, five art galleries and an antique dealer. The unmissable Saturday morning market. On foot or by bike, you can walk along the Goyen on a well-maintained path, a river alive with the rhythm of the tides. The town of Audierne and its associations organise numerous festivities throughout the summer. This year, the Route de l'Amitié gave tourists the chance to see 120 boats taking part. Many festivities on the quays of the port of Audierne. A popular ball and fireworks display on 14 July. Exhibitions, fest-noz and concerts are scheduled throughout the summer. You can also take a trip on an old sailing ship, such as the "Cap Sizun" on the Quai Pelletan, which is run by an association of which we are a member. You can register an application on your phone at the Tourist Office to find out about all the interesting cycle routes. The Pointe du Raz is a spectacular natural sight! And don't forget the memorable sunsets on your way to the Baie des Trépassés. On the other side, heading towards Plouhinec, you can discover the little port of Pors Poulhan and the Tréhousien mill. The Bigouden region is just around the corner. Menez Dregan, a 465,000-year-old Palaeolithic archaeological site discovered in 1985, is located in the same commune, just a few kilometres away. It is the oldest site in Europe to show the remains of maintained fireplaces. A little further on, you can easily walk along the coast watching the surfers. Penhors invites you into an immensely beautiful seascape... Head for Pointe du Raz, and discover the wild side of the GR 34, which offers some amazing coastal views (TREZ AR GOAREM in Esquibien and PORS TARZ in Primelin) less than 10 km from the château. Outdoor yoga classes are available on site. Every summer, you can also visit a recreated medieval village in Pontcroix, 5 km from the Château: the archaeosite is a village reconstructed by volunteers, which hosts events throughout the summer. On the leisure front, just 1km from the Château, don't miss the Aquashow with its aquariums and bird shows. Pier for the Ile de Sein 5 km away. Now available for departure at 1.30 pm and return at 8.00 pm. Don't miss the magnificent sunsets over the Baie des Trépassés. L'Etrave, a restaurant renowned for its lobster menus not far from there (book well in advance)... Visit the famous Pointe du Raz 15 km away. A little further on, you can visit OCEANOPOLIS in BREST. My favourite walk: I go down from the château to Audierne town centre, skirting the port along the quays, taking the Legion of Honour passage, the first dike, the footbridge over the sea, the towpath and then the longest dike, and you arrive at the Raoulic lighthouse. Whether it's the Goyen or the Iroise Sea, the water is with you all the way. And if you're a good walker, you can extend the walk to the pier without leaving the sea. What a pleasure! Flat for 2 people on the 2nd floor of the château (with lift): Furnishings: Fitted kitchen (fridge, oven and microwave..) living room, 1 bedroom with 1 double bed (140cm) and bathroom with WC. Facilities and services: TV, bed linen and towels provided, bed made on arrival, launderette in the centre. Outside: Park of over two hectares, private car park.
