2025 planning is open ... This cottage was recently renovated and opened in November 2022. It is open from half of April to end of September and from end of November to end of December. The “Gîte du Forgeron” (blacksmith) is classified ***(ministerial classification) and 2ears by Clé vacances. It is located in the centre of the picturesque village of Saint-Hippolyte, which is ideally situated at the foot of the Haut-Koenigsbourg castle on the Alsace Wine Route. This typical, spacious village family house (100 m2), with terrace sleeps 6 to 8 and is spread over two floors and has 3 bedrooms for 2people, a living/dining room with a sofa bed for 2 people, a living room with TV, 2 bathrooms, one with a walk-in shower, and a fully equipped kitchen. Stay from 4 nights, decreasing from the 5th night (summer period).            for 7 nights or more -10% (all year round) Preference is given for a Saturday arrival, but possible every day of the week. Preference is given to booking and paying via the CléVacances website.  Facilities: washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, blender/mixer, raclette +pierrade equipment, free high-speed WIFI, closed bicycle garage, parking nearby, baby bed and highchair available.  The cottage is non-smoking, and pets are not allowed. The accommodation is not accessible to people with reduced mobility.  All bed, household, and bathroom linen as well as tourist tax and other charges are included in the rental price.  A welcome gift will be waiting for you on your arrival, for a one-week stay.  Upon arrival, a deposit of €350 is required optional end-of-stay cleaning supplement of €70 is available. The deposit will be returned upon handing over the keys. in the event of damage or cleaning not carried out, the costs will be deducted from the deposit.  Located in the heart of the village, the cottage is close to the shops (bakery, butcher's, grocer's). Located at the junction of the Haut-Rhin and Bas-Rhin, the Gite du Forgeron offers a multitude of cultural and/or natural sites to visit, such as the Volerie des aigles or the Montagne des singes, as well as magnificent localities such as Riquewihr, Colmar, Bergheim, Obernai... where you can appreciate the beauty of the various typical festivals throughout the seasons, as well as their Christmas markets.  It is a 30-minutes drive from Strasbourg, 56 minutes from Basel and 20 minutes from Colmar.  An ideal base for hiking along the paths of the Club Vosgien or cycling along the cycle paths and roads of the Vosges Mountain and discover typical villages and local festivals  beautifull museums and castles.
