The winegrowers of the Monbazillac and Pécharmant appellations welcome you to their properties for visits and tastings. The royal bastide of Villeréal is surrounded by medieval villages, several of which are listed among the "most beautiful villages of France". We particularly recommend Monpazier, Monflanquin, Issigeac, Beaumont du Périgord and Pujols, a perched village overlooking the Lot valley. Penne d'Agenais: 30 minutes from the gîte, the village of Penne d'Agenais is right in front of you. Very popular for its 180° view over the Lot valley and its basilica. It is a must-see in the region. Among the events not to be missed, the night meetings of horse races in Villeréal with dinner served by the trotting track, the Bodéga - musical and festive evening in Villeréal on the last Sunday of July, the festival of the Purple Perigord - the musical summer in Bergerac, the shows and plays proposed in fabulous venues (courtyard of the castle of Biron, castle of Bonaguil, Monpazier village square...).
