The location of the gîte means that hiking enthusiasts can set off directly from the accommodation. You'll be able to cover both difficult paths and easy walks. You can consult the Itd rando 68 or Visorando websites to prepare your outings. Cycling enthusiasts can take advantage of the routes through the village. These are listed on the Komoot, Outdooractive and Itd rando 68 websites. In winter, the Markstein ski resort offers both downhill and cross-country skiing. For snowshoe lovers, there are specially prepared trails. In summer, the resort offers summer tobogganing, mountain bike hire, gyropods and much more. After your exertions, you can enjoy the famous "marcaires" meals offered by the many "Fermes auberges" (farm inns). Just 5 km from the gîte, you'll find a leisure area with cinema, indoor go-karting, escape game, indoor children's playground, indoor surf simulator (artificial wave) and lasergame. You can also enjoy a meal in one of the restaurants in the area or simply have a drink. The area also offers fishing ponds (several a few hundred metres away). Just 3 km away, the town of Thann has a municipal swimming pool, with indoor and outdoor pools. The town of Mulhouse, 20 km away, has a number of museums, including the Cité du Train, the Automobile Museum, Electrophoresis and many others. Alsace is a former mining area. The potash mines of Alsace are an important part of our region's history. A museum is dedicated to them. Visits must be booked in advance and are accompanied by a guide (a former miner). Near the mining museum, you can also discover the Alsace ecomuseum, and understand the architecture of our villages. Finally, for thrill-seekers, we're close to Europa Park, an amusement park which in 2024 was awarded the highest distinction for the ninth time: "best amusement park in the world". No fewer than 100 attractions for young and old. Another amusement park, the Little Prince Park, is 15 minutes from the gîte. And of course, for the more motivated, the gîte also offers you the chance to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside.

- BY ROAD : Coming from Paris, take the A36 motorway towards Mulhouse. Take exit 15 (COLMAR - THANN) and follow the RD83 then the RD 1066 towards THANN. On entering Vieux-Thann, take the 2nd exit at the roundabout onto the RD 331. Head towards LEIMBACH then RODEREN. As you enter the village, take the 1st turning on the right, then after the bridge turn right and immediately left: you have arrived. From STRASBOURG - COLMAR: take the A35 motorway and exit at ROUFFACH (exit 29) then RD 18 bis towards ROUFFACH and then RD83 towards BELFORT. At the RD83 and RD 1066 junction, head towards THANN. On entering Vieux-Thann, take the 2nd exit at the roundabout towards the RD 331. Head towards LEIMBACH then RODEREN.
