Description

Come and enjoy a stay at the Ca la Mimi gîte, with its exceptional views of the Canigou massif. You'll love the peace and quiet, the comfort, the summer kitchen and all the facilities on offer. Situated on the outskirts of Prades, the gîte is close to the town centre, hiking trails and halfway between the sea and the mountains. Separate entrance and parking on the property. Large, partly fenced garden with barbecue, garden furniture, sun loungers, table tennis, bicycles. Ground floor: fitted kitchen with dining area and lounge. Room converted into a relaxation area for the children or work area (TV, DVD player, sofa bed, toy corner and desk). Shower room with walk-in shower and separate toilet. Upstairs: 1 bedroom (1 double bed 160), 1 bedroom (1 double bed 140, 1 single sofa bed), 1 bedroom (1 double bed 140), 1 bedroom (1 double bed 160) with en-suite shower room (shower and wc). Reversible air conditioning in all rooms. Internet access. Baby equipment available (cot, changing table, baby bath, high chair). Out of season and during school holidays, special prices for a week's rental for 2 people. For curists, prices on request.

THE STORY OF CA LA MIMI This house was built entirely by my grandfather Jean and my grandmother Marie, known as Mimi, in 1952. The name of the gite, "Ca la mimi" in Catalan, means "at Mimi's house" because all the people who came to my grandparents' house used to say "we're going to Mimi's house". My husband Fabien and I completely renovated the house in 2012. After a good year's work, our gite "Ca la mimi" welcomed its first holidaymakers at the beginning of July 2013.
