Description

Welcome to Clos du Gaja in Troncens, Gascony surrounded by its 7 hectares of meadows and woods, nestling at the top of the Gers hills, with its private lake and swimming pool. Just 5 minutes from Villecomtal sur Arros and 10 minutes from Jazz in Marciac. A 200-metre driveway will lead you into the world of Gaja, with its hayloft (a semi-enclosed reception room with a mezzanine for a change of scenery from the comfortable armchairs in the lounge), its comfortable bedrooms and its table d'hôtes where you can sample the gastronomy of the Gers. Its majestic three-hundred-year-old oak tree overlooking Lake Gaja and its romantic swing will be the wink in the wind. You can cool off in the swimming pool in summer or warm up by the old stove in winter. There is so much to write about this haven of peace, but come and see for yourself and you will be seduced.

We welcome you every day from 4pm. Depending on the season, we offer you a hot or cold drink. During the Jazz in Marciac festival, a complimentary aperitif will be served in turn, and everyone will be invited to try the drinks and food they like. You will be welcomed by the owners of the place who will introduce you to it. You can book the table d'hôtes if you wish, which is located in the Chai in winter or under the hayloft in summer. Hello Gaja guests, We are Sonia and Marc, delighted to welcome you to our haven of peace "Le Clos du Gaja". For several years now Marc and I have enjoyed welcoming you and helping you discover the beauty of the peaceful department of the Gers, its gastronomy, its walks and our unusual place with its boats built on site by Marc. We set down our suitcases in 2014, renovated this magnificent Gascony and opened the chambres d'hôtes, which can be converted into a group gîte for up to 12 people. A table d'hôtes will introduce you to the best dishes and wines of our region. Saint Mont with foie gras poilé or Madiran with marinated meat, your taste buds will appreciate the culinary discoveries of the Gers. I'm sure you'll be delighted by the morning colours or the sunsets. During the summer, you can enjoy the swimming pool and its lake for a boat trip with your Captain Marc "Charpentier de Marine". Finally, if you need to relax and recharge your inner batteries, you can take part in the daily yoga class with me. We look forward to welcoming you to our "Clos du Gaja".
