Situated a few kilometres from Digoin and Paray le Monial and bordering the Allier department, La Maison Lambert is an old house that has retained all the charm of yesteryear, but with all the modern comforts. Completely renovated, it offers 80m2 inside and 200m2 outside. Very well equipped, it is organised to ensure a restful, carefree stay. It has the charm of a grandmother's house, with each room decorated differently. The furniture is antique, waxed as it was in days gone by, or has been given a makeover. Facing due south, the house opens onto a vast courtyard-garden with pergola, tables and garden furniture. You can also sit in the shade of the lime tree. Beyond, the landscape is that of a verdant orchard, ideal for a quiet, restful country setting. Annie and Noël, the owners, are well versed in the history of this house (which dates back to the 18th century) and the surrounding old hamlet, and can tell you a lot about the village's winegrowing past and the workings of the old farming communities. For those who wish, they can suggest walks and visits in the surrounding area or further afield: signposted or unmarked footpaths, cycle routes, historical tours, local curiosities, etc. With their guests in mind, they will also be happy to share their favourites and their good addresses.
