The advantages of the accommodation
Description
Our gîte "la Bergerie" is close to all tourist sites and amenities. It is located in an old farmhouse on the ground floor. With modern, new furniture, our gîte is very well equipped and has good soundproofing. It is particularly suitable for young children (equipment provided free of charge). The gîte comprises a lounge area with TV and stereo, a kitchen area with all the necessary amenities (dishwasher, coffee machine, kettle, etc.), a bedroom with a 140/200 bed, a shower room with walk-in shower, a washbasin and a washing machine. Basic cleaning products are available in the kitchen. Free WIFI (fibre) is available throughout the accommodation and a work desk is at your disposal. You have your own private terrace with garden furniture. You share the 500m2 enclosed private grounds with our guests from the other 2 gîtes, with play area, BBC, deckchairs and safe parking for your car. You can come and visit our pets, much to the delight of our dog Twix, who loves young and old alike. I can provide you with the following optional extras (to be requested at least 48 hours before your arrival) for stays of one week or more * Bed linen: 8€ for a 1-person bed, 15€ for a 2-person bed, 3€ for a baby bed: undersheet and fitted sheet. *Towels: 6€ per person * Tea towels: €5. A washing machine is available in each gîte for your convenience. Final cleaning is included in the price. A deposit of €300 is provided to cover any damage or additional cleaning due if the departure instructions are not followed. The minimum stay is between 2 and 7 nights, depending on the period. I can provide you with documentation to help you organise your stay and I'll be happy to give you personal advice (I've got some good addresses for you!). !) An electric recharging point is available 200m away and I can provide you with a space for your bike. You can stroll through the village in bloom (2 flowers), walk along our footpath (9kms) and admire our castle.

Our property is located 15 minutes from the Baie de Somme (Saint Valery sur Somme, Le Crotoy), 7 minutes from the Crécy forest and 5 minutes from the town of Abbeville, which has numerous shops and a market. Amiens, with its cathedral, hortillonnages, zoo and Nausicaa, Europe's largest aquarium, is a 45-minute drive away. We are also close to the sites of the Great War.

My husband and I moved to the Baie de Somme after falling in love with this beautiful region. We bought this old farmhouse in October 2020. I then quit my job to devote myself to my new project: opening gîtes. First "le pigeonnier", then "la grange" and finally "la bergerie" in January 2023. I do my utmost to ensure that the travellers I meet have a pleasant stay, taking the time to welcome them and advise them so that they discover or rediscover the Bay of the Somme.
