Description
Welcome to Gîte Lamartine, located in a 19th century stone winegrower's house, for 4-5 people in the small charming winegrowing village of Saint-Lothain, near Poligny. You will discover this accommodation with independent access to the rear of the house on the garden side. The entrance is into the modern and renovated kitchen. A warm and bright living room gives direct access to the 50m² terrace. Upstairs, you will find three bedrooms overlooking the rising sun and the Revermont landscape. Sheets and duvets are included in the price, a towel kit including a large towel, a small towel and a washcloth are available at €6/kit. You will benefit from a private washing machine and all the necessary equipment. An independent bathroom with a walk-in shower renovated in 2020 is also located upstairs near the bedrooms. The toilets are also independent. You can enjoy the spacious exteriors not overlooked at the foot of the cottage, (swing, barbecue, garden table and chairs with a parasol. Room for storing bicycles (check with the owner) Animals are not accepted (except special conditions, see with the owner) An optional cleaning package is offered at €50 for accommodation. The accommodation is located near Poligny, capital of the County, Arbois, capital of wine, Château-Chalon and its belvedere, and the waterfalls of Baume-les-Messieurs. The A39 motorway entrance is just 8 kilometers away.

Access map
Access is easy, from exit 7 of the A39 motorway, take the Poligny direction and on the N89 turn right before the 4 lanes. Rue Lamartine is the first street on the left as you enter the village of Saint Lothain, but be careful as it is a one-way street. Take the first street on your left, 200m further on. You can park in the courtyard of the gîte on the edge of the road, a space is reserved for you.

I've been a hiker for over fifteen years and have covered a lot of the Jura countryside. I can give you ideas for hikes near my home or higher up in the first, second or third plateau. I love flowers and gardening and we can share our respective passions in these areas. The garden is right next to the gîte and you can enjoy some tomatoes and other leeks grown by me. I like to take macro photos of nature and have collected thousands of photos of flowers, insects and butterflies during my hikes in the Jura and on my long pilgrimage routes to Compostela. I'm a grandfather and I know my grandchildren, so it's always a pleasure for me to accompany them on the swing, just opposite the gîte.
