Chalet for 6 people near Lake Longemer and the ski slopes

A charming, fully equipped chalet sleeping six in Xonrupt-Longemer, located 900m from Lake Longemer (Vosges) and 2km from the ski lifts at the family-friendly Le Poli resort. It is just 50 minutes from Colmar and its magical Christmas markets, and only 30 minutes from Munster and its authentic mountain-style Christmas market. Nestled in lush greenery, the "Chalet du Sotré" offers a magnificent, unobstructed view of the village and the ski jump. Tastefully decorated in a mountain style, the ground floor features a lovely living and dining area that opens onto a fully equipped kitchen. Amenities include a color TV and DVD player. A selection of movies and board games is available for your enjoyment, along with tourist information to help you make the most of your stay. The kitchen is equipped with an electric cooktop and oven, extractor hood, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, and two refrigerators (one including a small 28-liter freezer). A raclette set is available on-site, along with a blender, electric mixer, etc. Also on the ground floor, you will find a small bedroom with a double bed (140x190cm), a bathroom with a shower cubicle and vanity unit (plus hairdryer and washing machine), and a separate toilet. The first floor houses a family bedroom with a double bed (140x190cm) and a single bed (90x190cm), as well as a mezzanine area with a double bed and access to a balcony offering views of the mountains and the village. High-quality bedding with firm mattresses. Outside, there is a large terrace with rustic garden furniture, sun loungers, and a barbecue. For families, baby equipment is available on-site (high chair, baby bath, cot, and changing mat). Safety gates are installed at the top and bottom of the stairs. An iron and ironing board are also provided. The chalet is situated in a quiet location, set back from a road with little traffic—peace and quiet guaranteed! Private parking is available on-site, and a garden shed allows you to store your bicycles (up to 4). The family-friendly Le Poli ski resort is just a 5-minute drive from the chalet, while the La Mauselaine resort (Gérardmer) is only 14 minutes away. Plenty of activities are available nearby: hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, mountain biking trails, and more. Activities at Lake Longemer include kayaking, pedal boating, fishing, swimming, pétanque, etc. Looking to relax? Just a short walk away, the Domaine de Longemer offers a wellness area with various relaxation services (payable on-site). Open year-round, Monday to Sunday, from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. A bakery and a butcher/delicatessen are located in the village center, just a 10-minute walk (or about 700 meters) away! Gérardmer town center is a mere 6-minute drive, offering quality shops, its famous lake, and a range of water sports. Attractions include the Acro-Sphère adventure park (for all ages), an ice rink, a swimming pool, a cinema, and more. Want to breathe in the fresh air and head up to the heights? The "Route des Crêtes" is just a 10-minute drive away, featuring numerous fermes-auberges (farm inns) where you can enjoy the famous traditional repas marcaire (mountain farmer's meal). Enjoy the Schlucht alpine ski area just 13 minutes away, featuring two blue runs, a chairlift, a snowpark, and a boardercross course. In summer, the Schlucht Pass offers a summer luge track with a 107-meter vertical drop and two 850-meter runs, as well as access to numerous hiking trails. Key events not to be missed include the Daffodil Festival in the spring and the Fantastic Film Festival in late January. We accept dogs (maximum of one): €25.00 per stay. The chalet does not have Wi-Fi, but you can rent a portable Wi-Fi hotspot from the Gérardmer Tourist Office. Cleaning fee: €70 per stay (additional). Bed linen available upon request: €15 per set.
