ASTÉRIX PARK * Distance: about 20 minutes by car One of France's most popular theme parks, located in Plailly. Parc Astérix offers rides and shows for all the family, inspired by the world of Asterix and Obelix. A perfect destination for a fun day out with friends or family. CARNELLE FOREST * Distance: approx. 10 minutes by car This state-owned forest offers numerous hiking trails, ponds and panoramic viewpoints. CHÂTEAU D'ÉCOUEN - NATIONAL RENAISSANCE MUSEUM * Distance: about 20 minutes by car This 16th-century château is home to the National Renaissance Museum, where you can admire exceptional collections of objets d'art, tapestries, sculptures and paintings from the Renaissance period. The castle's architecture and gardens are also well worth a visit. CHÂTEAU DE MONTMORENCY * Distance: approximately 25 minutes by car The Château de Montmorency, set in the heart of a forest, offers a magnificent view of Paris and the surrounding area. Although the château is not open to the public, the surrounding area and the town of Montmorency are ideal for walks and historical discoveries. CHÂTEAU DE LA REINE BLANCHE (COYE-LA-FORÊT) * Distance: approx. 15 minutes by car This charming castle on the edge of a lake in the Chantilly forest is a picturesque site. Although the château is not accessible for interior visits, the walk around the lake and the views of the château are particularly enjoyable. SENLIS * Distance: around 20 minutes by car A medieval town full of charm, Senlis has many cobbled streets, a Gothic cathedral (Notre-Dame de Senlis) and Gallo-Roman remains. It's a town rich in history, with museums, churches and an authentic atmosphere that transports you back in time. PONTARMÉ CASTLE * Distance: about 15 minutes by car A small medieval castle not far from Viarmes. Although it's not open to the public, its surroundings and architectural beauty make it well worth a visit on a walk in the area. ENGHIEN-LES-BAINS * Distance: approx. 25 minutes by car Enghien-les-Bains is a renowned spa town, famous for its lake and casino. You can stroll along the lake, enjoy wellness treatments in the thermal baths or try your luck at the casino. The town also has a number of restaurants and a pleasant setting in which to relax. GOUVIEUX AND THE YSIEUX VALLEY * Distance: around 15 minutes by car Gouvieux, situated in the Ysieux valley, is a charming village surrounded by beautiful natural scenery. Here you can go for walks or horse-rides and discover the bucolic surrounding countryside, particularly along the river Ysieux. DOMONT AND MONTMORENCY (WALKS) * Both destinations are renowned for their walking trails and beautiful forests.
