Home
Hello, This is how I welcome you when you open the door on your arrival at our home, and every time you ring the bell without it bothering us... I'll show you around and explain how the house is run, give you tourist information to help you visit our beautiful Alsace, find something to eat and answer any questions you may have. The service we have been offering for over 25 years is bed and breakfast with breakfast. We welcome you into our home and share our living space with you. This uniqueness requires a personal, human relationship of exchange and sharing that is not always self-evident. Please note that we do not have a kitchen for our guests, nor do we offer table d'hôte meals! Our age and certain health problems are sometimes an accepted constraint! Access to the rooms closes at midnight. After a good day, everyone needs a rest! Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any points to discuss, as we'll be happy to do so during our first telephone conversation!

Welcome to Boersch, home of the Taubert family, on the Wine Route and the Romanesque Route of Alsace. Boersch is a small medieval village not far from Obernai and Mont Sainte-Odile, 20 minutes from Strasbourg and 40 minutes from Colmar. We're at the heart of Alsace's main tourist attractions: gastronomy, wines, folklore and culture, Romanesque art, walks, festivals and events... you're sure to fall in love! Coming to us is a chance to rest, enjoy a holiday and relax, and we're here to guide you through your escapades and answer any questions you may have about Alsace. We offer you a pleasant and comfortable setting in a house with spacious rooms (25 m²) with facilities suitable for a holiday stay (fridge, lounge area, etc.) and a full bathroom. We're here to make your stay as easy as possible, with a "slow" approach. Taking time out, sharing a few moments in a hectic world is a philosophy that deserves consideration. And conviviality starts with simple, human encounters! Have you heard of Christmas in Alsace? There's still time to book, so don't hesitate, we've got a well-heated house and a Christmas atmosphere! And Christmas starts on the last weekend of November and lasts until around 6 January... happy holidays! Let's be clear about the COVID 19 HEALTH MEASURES and other viral diseases (flu, etc.) As my wife and I are among those at risk (over 65, one of whom is immunocompromised), we need to protect each other. We did the right thing and were vaccinated (3/4x)! The good habits of barrier measures must be respected in our home. For further information and explanations, please call [l'échange de vos coordonnées n'est pas autorisée]. Take good care of yourselves! THANK YOU for your understanding

I'm often asked the question: what is a chambre d'hôte? Hello, I've come to have a chat with you... before welcoming you to our home, and I look forward to meeting you, Isabelle and many other members of the family... Why do you ask? In our hurried society, we often forget to ask ourselves questions and let ourselves be guided by information from third parties, subject to our emotions, it's hard for us to tell the difference! In Alsace, hospitality, as in many countries along the Rhine, is something we like to cite as a quality. Based on our experience over the years, we felt it necessary to say the following: There are three words behind the word chambre d'hôtes....the word chambre, the word hôte -that's you-, the word hôte -that's us-. So if you like, it's not just a room, it's much more than that! In reality, the chambre d'hôte is a skilful blend of three players, or rather two players and a place! So it's not the same thing as a hotel room, a gîte, a sofa, a tent, a caravan, a sleeping bag, a mouse click...you know what I mean? The chambre d'hôte is much more than that! First of all, it's you who decides to come and stay with us (or with other people) and you want to have an exchange, a sharing. Then, it's us who try to give you all our attention, so that your stay is as pleasant and as rich as possible, and with our rooms that we've specially designed for you... you'd have to be difficult! On top of that, we want you to experience our region... but this takes time, and if you're in a hurry, then it's hard for us to be in a hurry, we can't just press the accelerator, put on the handbrake! You know the Hans im Schockeloch song... "What he's got, he doesn't want..."-... It's not just a simple commercial exchange, it's a bit more than that. Finally, I'm off, my guests are waiting for me for breakfast, and the rooms are waiting for me to do a bit of cleaning and take care of the flowers... All the best, and I look forward to welcoming you soon! Alain, yours truly!
