Dieppe __: Maritime atmosphere guaranteed. Our house in the welcomes you. L__a Grande rue and its many shops, its Saturday morning market __... To discover Dieppe, you can take a guided tour on the little train or a guided tour on foot. And to see Dieppe and the Côte d'Albâtre, take one of the boats out to sea. For children, the Estran Cité de la mer will fascinate them with the marine world, where they can stroke stingrays and see fish... For art lovers, the château museum offers visitors a magnificent collection of carved ivories, paintings and evocations of Dieppe's maritime and seaside past. And in the evening, you can go to the Casino. _ Normandy is a land of gardens. Le Bois des Moutiers and its superb park of azaleas and rhododendrons, Shamrock and its hydrangeas, the gardens of Vastérival, all at Varengeville-sur-Mer - don't forget to make a detour to the Church of St Valery overlooking the sea and its marine cemetery, or to visit the Manoir Ango, the gardens of __Offranville__, the vegetable garden of the Château de Miromesnil at Tourville-sur-Arques__..._. _Veules-les-Roses : a 30-minute drive from our rental accommodation Discover one of the most beautiful villages in Normandy. Take the chemin des cressonnières, then walk along the thatched cottages towards the Abreuvoir, follow the chemin des Champs-Elysées with its mills before arriving at the seafront, where the Veules, France's smallest river, flows into the sea. Saint-Valéry-en-Caux: 40 minutes from Dieppe A small fishing port with a different atmosphere from Dieppe. On one side of the channel is the St Léger district, with its very narrow streets and fishermen's houses, an unspoilt area, and on the other, a more modern, dynamic district with its shops. Fécamp: 1h15 away Fécamp has remained an authentic town with its port and fishermen's houses. Climb to Cap Fagnet and discover the chapel of the Virgin Mary overlooking the whole of Fécamp from the top of the cliff. Visit the Palais Bénédictine, where Benedictine is produced from 27 plants and spices. The Sainte-Trinité abbey church is a superb example of primitive Gothic, and you'll be amazed by the clarity of the interior. Another 20 minutes and you're in Etretat, a landmark of Normandy, with its cliffs pierced by arches and its famous needle. Bray Country: 30 km inland from our flat. In the heart of the Pays de Bray button-hole, the rolling green countryside alternates between pastures and fields, where Norman cows graze peacefully, producing milk for Neufchâtel cheese. Many cider farms offer tastings of cider and Calvados. Neufchâtel-en-Bray with its Notre-Dame church, the Mathon-Durand museum, the nearby Mesnières en Bray castle, the "Avenue Verte" for peaceful walks and cycle rides. Forges-les-Eaux__, with its flower-filled town centre, casino, springs and museums. For children, the Clères park and its animals and the Bocasse park are great fun, or further north, at Muchedent, discover the bison. For those interested in the history of the Second World War, head to Ardouval, to the Val Ygot site, where the V1s were launched. Further south, stop off at Esteville to visit the Emmaüs centre, where Abbé Pierre spent his final years. Rouen __: Our holiday rental is located 50 minutes from Rouen, the historic centre can be explored on foot: Notre-Dame Cathedral, St Maclou Church and Oyster House, St Ouen, the Rue du Gros Horloge, the Palais de Justice, former Parliament of Normandy, the Place du Vieux Marché where Joan of Arc was burnt. You'll be amazed by the many timber-framed houses (over 2,000 in Rouen). When it comes to museums, the choice is yours: Musée des Beaux Arts, Musée de la Céramique, Musée de la Ferronnerie, Musée du Gros Horloge, Musée Flaubert and Musée de l'Histoire de la Médecine, Musée National de l'Education, Musée des Antiquités, Musée d'Histoire Naturelle, Le Donjon... with a special mention for the Historial Jeanne d'Arc, where you can relive the history and trial of Joan of Arc_.
