The ‘Château’ holiday cottage welcomes you to the heart of the countryside, on the banks of the Reculée des Planches. Completely renovated, this 85 m² holiday home features 3 bedrooms, a fully fitted kitchen and a large terrace in the heart of a 3-hectare wooded park frequented by chamois. A unique spot for a holiday in the Jura with family or friends, complete with a swimming pool, walking trails starting right on the doorstep and nearby tourist attractions. A very comfortable holiday home for 6 people On the ground floor, you’ll find a spacious, cosy living area featuring a brand-new, fully fitted kitchen: induction hob, pyrolytic oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee maker and kitchen utensils. The living-dining area, complete with a flat-screen TV, is the perfect place to relax together after a day’s hiking or exploring. This level also features a bedroom with a 160 × 190 cm double bed and latex bedding, a spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower, and a separate toilet. Upstairs, two sleeping areas complete the accommodation: a separate bedroom with a 140 cm double bed and a mezzanine bedroom fitted with two single beds measuring 80 × 200 cm, particularly suitable for children. Free Wi-Fi is available, and baby equipment can be provided on request. Heated swimming pool, terrace and wooded grounds Outside, the large terrace, furnished with garden furniture and a parasol, is perfect for al fresco dining. On sunny days, relax in the 10 × 5-metre heated, shared outdoor swimming pool. Heated by a heat pump from 15 May to 15 September, weather permitting, it is surrounded by an area with sun loungers where you can unwind after an excursion or a walk. The property also features a pétanque court, a barbecue area and play equipment for children. This means that young and old alike can make the most of the grounds during their stay. Walks starting from the holiday cottage and the Reculée des Planches One of the cottage’s great assets is its location in the heart of a remarkable natural setting. Walking and mountain bike trails are accessible directly from the property, without the need to take the car. From La Châtelaine, set off to explore the Reculée des Planches-près-Arbois, with its limestone cliffs, forests and viewing points. The trails lead, in particular, to the Planches-près-Arbois area and the famous Cascade des Tufs, following the old Roman road. Other walks will take you through the unspoilt countryside of the surrounding area and towards the Moidons Forest. With forest paths, viewing points and Jura landscapes, there are plenty of options for walks and hikes starting from La Châtelaine. Arbois and the Jura vineyards, just 7 km away, are an unmissable stop on your holiday. As the wine capital of the Jura, the town charms visitors with its heritage, its charming streets and its wine-growing surroundings. You can visit the Maison de Louis Pasteur, explore the historic centre and meet local winegrowers to discover the Jura’s iconic appellations and wines. What is there to visit around the gîte in the Jura? La Châtelaine is also an excellent base for exploring the Jura’s main tourist attractions. Discover Poligny, renowned for its culinary heritage and Comté cheese, then Salins-les-Bains, a spa town famous for its Grande Saline. You can also head to Château-Chalon, an iconic village in the Jura wine region, or continue on to Dole and its rich historical heritage.
