Listed as a historic monument, it embodies the picturesque charm of the town and inspired Claude Monet. 2. Collégiale Notre-Dame de Vernon A superb Gothic building dating from the XIᵉ century, listed as a historic monument. Inside, rib vaults and stained glass windows restored after the war. It also provides an excellent backdrop for occasional concerts. 3. Blanche Hoschedé-Monet Museum (Musée de Vernon) Housed in a former town house, this museum focuses on Monet, Bonnard, naturalized wildlife and local history. The museum was awarded the Musée de France label when it was renovated in 2024. 4. Maison du Temps Jadis and timber-framed houses Visit this 15th-century jewel and wander through the medieval streets lined with pretty traditional Norman facades. 5. Bizy Castle Nicknamed the "Little Versailles of Normandy", this 18th-century château boasts manicured gardens, fountains and sumptuous interiors . 🎨 Around Vernon: impressionism & nature 6. Giverny - House & Gardens of Claude Monet Just a few kilometres away, visit Monet's famous garden: the water lilies, the Japanese bridge and the colourful house are a delight for all ages. 7.
